Well this game is boring now so going back to a previous, more interesting comment:

I'm not sold on Lions being 4th best, and definitely not 3rd. 49ers would've destroyed them and Dallas beat them soundly already this season. So did the Seahawks. You can say that was at a different point in the season, and sure, but when the Lions were stringing together wins they were mostly playing the absolute dregs of the NFC. I think they looked better than they were just because of how bad the NFC was (particularly the NFC North). They did beat the Jaguars and the Giants, who were probably their most impressive wins but they also lost to the Panthers in a must win game for them so I never got too high on them this year.

I think they would've been exposed immediately in the playoffs.

Refs have bee handing Philly every single call which they don't even need at this point.

I wouldn't say Seattle beat them soundly, although Detroit's defense was beyond dreadful in that game.

But yeah, like I said before, Detroit getting in wouldn't have mattered because they would've gotten rocked by the 49ers.

Sorry, I meant Dallas beat them soundly and then they also already lost to the Seahawks. "Beat soundly by" was only applied to the Cowboys.

Yeah that's all fair. The NFC was so bad this year that I could see the Lions beating all those teams. I could see the Lions losing to all those teams, too. I think in particular I'd taking the Vikings over them particularly if it was at Minnesota like it would've wound up being. Minnesota was immediately exposed by the Giants in the playoffs but the Lions got exposed by the Panthers before the playoffs even started.

I have to be honest and I'm still not entirely sure how good the Eagles are.

If Purdy can't throw that's fine. Put someone at QB who can throw the ball 5-10 yards. Force them to respect the throw.

But whatever, this was a garbage, scuffed abomination of a football game. No one should have to watch their team get eliminated in this fashion.

49ers deserve this. Now they can't know for sure if Turdy is legit and will be pulling their hair out in the offseason trying to pick between Lance and Jimmy IR and Turdy.

They are taking garbage about how the Eagles offense has finally managed to be a team capable of grinding it out against the Niners defense but that just hasn't been the case.

The Niners defense has been making stops and the drive has continued AFTER those stops courtesy of the refs.

Most notably was the roughing the kicker, but there has been a lot of other ticky tack stuff that has kept their drives from stalling out. With the exception of tree opening drive I honestly do not feel like tree eagles have earned a touchdown.

Two of them were courtesy of long drives that SHOULD have ended multiple times.

A third was courtesy of Josh Johnson's inability to take a snap.

So yeah that's 21 points that the Eagles offense did not properly earn.

And yeah I'm.mad about it, but that doesn't make me wrong.

I didn't see any problem with the penalties in the drive that made it 14-7.

I haven't actually watched a snap of the second half though.

I really, really, really want Philly to get absolutely smashed into dust in the Super Bowl.

There were several I'd question, but I would need to watch that drive again. The one that sticks out is the illegal hands to the face on McGill, he was being held with his arm pinned in position.

It doesn't actually matter why you grasp the facemask

I definitely prefer the 49ers to the Eagles so I fully admit to being biased, but I thought there were a several questionable/bad calls, and all of them favored the Eagles.

If the 49ers don't go after Brady then they truly are run by complete idiots.

So you could call neither penalty or call both.

Super Bowl time! Well on a technicality, cause they still have to beat Philadelphia in two weeks but barring really bad luck for either of these teams (mahomes and burrow go down)... I feel like the AFC has this.
