I don't really see it any different than any other community that bans certain topics. Like I doubt you can go to the Hogwarts Legacy subreddit and post all about J.K. Rowling's anti-trans content. It'll be seen as disruptive towards people who just want to talk about the game even if it is technically relevant. ResetEra is a site that's strict with moderation. That's why the users go and post there. It's the kind of community where if they did allow discussion on Hogwarts Legacy it would just be people constantly arguing about J.K. Rowling. Now people there just can't talk about it. If people want to talk about it they can do elsewhere. Dunno why people care so much about what other websites and message boards do.
