Welcome to Round 37 of Save my Smash Assist Trophy, the Save my where all assist trophies (even the ones absent in Ultimate) battle until there is only one left.

Please read the rules before you make a post.

Rules (Stolen from UnderUrMattress):

• You personally (no bots/scripts/lending of accounts) can save 1 assist trophy per hour.
• An assist trophy needs 1 vote to be saved.
• 1 unique user needs to save an assist trophy for that assist trophy to be saved.
• Ambiguous saves will not count.
• Last assist trophy unsaved is eliminated.
• No alts, rallies, trades, or editing votes.
• Only _Keeby can start up new topics.
• Community Rule is in effect. Deliberate rules violations will result in bans.
• Have fun!

(Im surprised about this elimination, considering its a Zelda character. Then again, I myself have never been a Zelda fan.

Also, were at about the halfway point of the competition, so Ive been wondering when the switch to two saves should occur. Ive been judging based on length of round rather than number of posts, but maybe Im looking at this all wrong.)

It absolutely pained me to not save Midna but I didnt want to risk the only F-Zero rep in this contest when we have so many other Zelda reps left. Granted three of them are from the same game.

Of course knowing my luck on these things, Goroh will go out in the next round or so.

As for increasing saves, seeing how this round lasted 10 hours, I say its fine to leave it as 1 save per character.

An alternative take on the 2 saves, is to also give the users 2 saves to make. I think Johnbobb did that at one point during the Save My Santa contest.
So something else to consider if you dont want the rounds to take so long.

MZero usually saves Midna I think but they didnt show up today so I guess thats why she got eliminated. I didnt even notice that Majoras Mask has three assist trophies across the series though. Thats so funny.

If what youre saying is to up the limit to two saves per hour, I already did that earlier in the competition. Eventually enough rounds had passed that it was going too fast, and so I set it back to one again. I dont think Ill switch back since were pretty far in now, but nothings set in stone of course.

I think I mentioned this somewhere before, but I have sleep issues which is why I tend to wait on making rule switches. I dont want rounds to last 12+ hours.

Let me clarify what I said about the 2 saves.

When I said about upping the number of saves a character needs to be to safe to 2 saves, I said that the users could also save 2 characters per hour as well.

But I dont think this makes the rounds go by any quicker, and it could potentially make rounds go longer if there are a few characters that people dont give saves to.

So I think its fine to leave things as is.
