Much like with Save My Satan before, Save My Santa ended with an incredibly close score of 20-18, leaving Delibird, the Delivery Pokemon as the best (if a touch loosely interpreted) version of Santa Claus!

(Note: the score would've been 20-19 had the last vote been cast 3 minuets earlier).

Thank you to everyone who participated! Definitely not the results I would've expected but with close match after close match it could've gone any direction and was never boring.

After this contest, gonna take a brief break to run the annual Best New Character contest, then tossing around a few ideas as to who the next Save My would center around. The three in the poll were the big ones I could think of that have been portrayed, interpreted and parodied enough times to easily fill 50 slots, but I'm open to hearing more, but not sure who all could fill such a broad goal of having 50 supported versions of themselves. I considered beings like Zeus or Hades or Thor or even Sherlock Holmes or Batman or the Joker, but even then we might have to take some liberties big enough to make Delibird look like a literal interpretation. Maybe a contest of portrayals of any Greek god or any Norse god?

Anyway, let me know what you thought of the contest and what you think of possible future entries moving forward.

And hooray! Delibird vs Kris would've been the ideal final for most fun loose interpretation of Santa vs best classic Santa interpretation but this was still pretty good. I'm shocked Delibird did so well btw as I thought they'd be out in the teens somewhere.

Well Delibird is definitely one of the Santa interpretations.

Another great contest, though I was a little disappointed in myself for letting the main Santas I wanted to support die so early on.

The Team Rocket Delibird was one of the cutest things. I wish he stuck around longer.

Im quite happy Delibird won, but I wouldnt have minded Klaus winning either.

I agree. God is a much more narrow definition than gods. Video games especially love to throw in fictional religions and figures.

Although to be fair I already voted for Death so I guess I couldnt change my vote anyway.

I mean sure but that's also an entirely different contest, the whole idea of this contest is that it's been "single character/being interpreted a bunch of different ways"

what you're describing is King of the Mountain, a separate contest that ran here for several years

I have considered reviving King of the Mountain at times honestly, but I don't know. Bad memories and all.

I'd be hyped for Save My Jesus. Not enough contests where I can support RoboCop.

I'll be campaigning for Saint Young Men's Jesus if we do that. But I voted for Death. it would be a lot of fun, especially with Puss in Boots 2' interpretation.

Just wanted to say that I'm happy Aru got top 10 in this. Not sure how many people on this board played 100% Orange Juice, or Christmas Shooting (the game she comes from).

My friends used to play 100% Orange Juice, never tried it myself.

Between this and getting an overpowered paradox form, it's been a good few months for Delibird.
