I've known this for a long time but it still blows my mind. I had a friend who moved here in like 6th grade and she told us how different it was from over there. I think that was when i first found out how different it was over there. School here was a cakewalk for her. People work their whole lives toward one goal and when they find out its out of their reach, theyre crushed. For adults, its the above being put toward getting a high-paying job without ever taking job satisfaction into account.
