Bloodborne is very good but there are too many stans who say it's the best FROM has to offer.

Yes because it makes a difference. I can play either, but 60 is definitely ideal.

its not like the game is unplayable at 30 FPS but i suppose it does make a difference if you throw in some more... lol

It runs fine on PS4 Pro. It could run much better if it were 60FPS and had significantly lower loading times. Release it on PS5 and PC, for fucks sakes.

And yes, there is a marked difference between 30FPS and 60FPS. Even if your eye can't detect the difference, your reaction time will see and feel it. Go play Dark Souls 3 on PS4 and then again on PC. Tell me which one you prefer to play. I've played both, and have beaten both multiple times. There's no question that PC feels better to play.

I feel like every few months I see rumors about Bloodborne news. The desperation is real.

A performance upgrade would be great but 30fps would never keep me from going back if I wanted

I gotta confess I never really noticed that much of a difference when it comes to FPS once it goes above 30.

That said, millions of people do so it's bad if a game can't run at 60FPS as standard

See, this is what I'm talking about.

Going from playing DS3 on Xbox One at 30fps to PC 60fps was like night and day. FPS especially makes a difference in action games, and it's why DSFix was so big when DS PtD came to PC

That said Bloodborne sometimes struggles to hit 30fps on a base ps4 so that dude is definitely injecting copium

Bloodborne is still the best game from FS yet, IMO, but its definitely difficult going back to it at its current state after playing many other FS games at 60 fps. Give us a fucking PS5 patch or a remaster and Ill easily put another chunk of my life into it.

I have not played Elden Ring, so maybe it is better than Bloodborne.

Other than that, I dont think Id pick another From Soft game over Bloodborne. The setting is perfect. I still like all the other games, though.

Bloodborne is the best From Software Souls style game, fact.

I have the platinum for bloodborne (and all trophies for the dlc), almost have the platinum for DkS3 (need the ring trophy. Aids to get), and Platinum for Elden Ring.

I can not stand the gameplay of Sekiro. It's simply not for me.
Elden Ring is absolutely phenomenal and deserved GotY.
DkS3 plays amazingly, build variety is huge, and each area and boss feels amazing.

Bloodborne is simply my favorite. The setting, the trick weapons, the bosses, the pace of combat, healing through damage, I even like the pistols and the way they affect your build.

There has been so much misinformation about this game. Dudes would say, "It would take millions of hours of coding to change from 30 FPS to 60 FPS, so never expect them to do it."

Just to shut them up, a modder named Lance McDonald released a fan patch two years ago that brings a legit 60 FPS to the game. Surprise: It didn't take that much effort. The only small downside was that resolution had to be lowered from 1080 to 720 for it to run on the PS4 Pro.

I just probe that because there are going to be the people that are going to say "X plays fine so the change isn't needed."

Which is a silly stance to have when someone frames it as "Despite this one flaw, everything else is great." FPS is a divisive issue, but most who have experienced at least 60 FPS will probably say it's better. It's just something some people get oddly defensive about for tribalistic reasons.

And I was one of the people that didn't really pay much attention to framerates like that before.

I was playing steelrising on my ps5 the other day. I was of course playing on the 60fps lower graphics mode. But I was having some sort of visual glitch that caused surfaces to not load properly. I tried to turn it to the 30fps higher resolution mode to fix it.

It was basically unplayable. I'm sure it'd be fine, if noticable if I had just played it at another time. But going directly from 60 to 30fps in the same session without pause is just... it's bad.

As somebody that actually very much likes Dark Souls 2, that is an awfully shit take lol.

The transition to Iron Keep is indefensible and anyone beating their head against that wall should stop.

I wonder if the video was made by HBomberGuy, I know he made an "in defense of DS2" video which served as a pseudo-response to Matosis' take, but it's been a while since I watched. I don't normally watch takes defending DS2, I'm aware of and understand the complaints and like the game anyway, don't need random guys on the net to validate or justify my own take on it.

Thing is that honestly the Earthen Peak to Iron Fortress thing isn't even that big of an issue. You could say it breaks immersion and all of that, but honestly, no one would probably give a fuck if it wasn't for everything else wrong with the game. This just gets lumped on because it's a glaring break of continuity that is symbolic of the design philosophy behind Dark Souls 2. They didn't think about it, they just tried to emulate what they thought the first game was without thinking too hard about it, and the result is inferior.
