Rebirth doesn't have a confirmed release date, but it did say it was coming out in 2023 in the reveal trailer. No telling if it'll be delayed into 2024 though.

Although this means I need to play that Yuffie DLC sometime soon...!

R2 was announced for winter 2023. People originally thought that meant early 2024, but Crisis Core was announced for winter 2022 at the same time and came out in December, so...

That's only like a couple of hours, so no worries.

You'll get the joy of discovering that Yuffie is a much worse character with voice acting than without. The DLC's two chapters are worse than most of FF7R's chapters.

The good news is that I already have low expectations for any Yuffie material...!

I disagree that she's worse.

I don't particularly mind her in the original either though. Other than the Wutai side quest being kinda ass.

Playing some more DRV3. Now I've met the Ultimate Cosplayer, the Ultimate Child Caregiver, the Ultimate Tennis Pro, the Ultimate Inventor (whom I immediately dislike), the Ultimate Magician, the Ultimate Aikido Master, the Ultimate Robot, and the Ultimate Supreme Leader (or perhaps the Ultimate Liar...?). Also, as is customary at this point, we have someone who can't remember their ultimate talent.

I guess I didn't pay much attention to the promo material for this game leading up to it (for good reason, I suspect), but man, none of these characters look familiar to me.

I feel like Kaede got most of the focus in the promo material but I don't usually pay that much attention to promo material in general

Just finished watching Barry. Great show, would definitely recommend it!

I've been watching Mindhunter - about halfway through Season 2 (of 2). Been a pretty good show itself! But I've always liked Fincher's crime stories like Se7en and Zodiac (and many of his other films besides) so I figured this would be right up my alley.

Huh, didn't realize Barry finished.

Mindhunter's good stuff. It's too bad Fincher basically gave up on continuing it, so the 'main storyline' (which doesn't get a ton of focus) won't ever get resolved.

Some cool stuff after the Raithwall Tomb, which luckily wasn't as long as I thought it would be. I guess hiking across the desert was quite enough and I agree.

Some mixed feelings that besides a boss fight all the story just kinda happened and now it's back to hiking across the field to go somewhere else.

Also Vossler got really interesting when he betrayed us even though he seemed genuinely beat up about it. I was looking forward to seeing him play a part later but uh I guess he's dead whoops

Yeah, I agree with you about Vossler. It felt like they could've gotten more mileage out of him than they did (which is a running theme for a lot of FFXII characters, but he stands out among secondary characters to me).

In DRV3, we've now met all of the Ultimates, with the remaining ones being the Ultimate Anthropologist, Ultimate Astronaut, Ultimate Artist, Ultimate Maid, and Ultimate Entomologist. Gotta say, many of these talents seem way more...advanced than the ones from previous games.

It's probably my least favorite of the three seasons, but it's still pretty solid.

I havent watched it in probably over a decade, but my recollection is that III was pretty good!

Episode III was always good.

Revenge of the Sith is a top 3 Star Wars movie, and it was top 2 for a long time before they released The Last Jedi.

TFA and RO are close.

RotS was always fine yeah. At least to a point where "prequels are bad" didn't properly justify the major gap between it and the first two. Also, McGregor is the best.

episode iii might have been the first time i was capable of recognizing bad dialogue/overacting in the theater, so it jarred me how bad it was

but yeah on rewatch (and with prequel memes under my belt) i'm delighted by the unabashed cheesiness and non stop action. i don't know that i like it more than 4 or 5, but it feels very likely my favorite other than those two

It was my wife's second time watching it, and she ended up really liking it now that she understands the lore a little better.

Well, I'm going to rewatch Solo for the first time since I watched it in theaters, and this will be the first viewing for my wife.

I didn't like it when I initially watched it and didn't even bother watching it when she watched all the Star Wars movies for the first time since I didn't think it was worthwhile. Now the movie has developed this cult following, so I figured I should give it another shot to change my mind.

I still can't buy this guy as Han Solo, which was my biggest barrier before, and that hasn't changed. I do love me some Emilia Clarke though.

Sonic Prime Episode 3 complete!

Gotta say, the fight scenes in this show are pretty good, which can be tough to pull off for a Sonic show (the fight scenes in Sonic X were usually mediocre, for instance).

also I'm guessing Monokuma got himself "killed" on purpose to close his First Blood Perk loophole so there's still a class trial for the first murder, no way he's actually gone for good

If you actually win that platformer you get a joke ending.

I'm not big on predictions but DRV3 is definitely foreshadowing conflict between Kebo and Kokichi at some point down the line. If I had to guess, Kokichi will be killed and Kebo will be suspected, but not actually the killer.

Oh right, I forgot to mention that we did finish watching Solo, and I gotta admit, it was better than I remembered. I still don't think that guy is a convincing Han Solo (especially compared to Donald Glover's impeccable Lando Calrissian) but everything else is entertaining enough.
