In something like a Moba, it's super helpful to be able to communicate with your team. Yes, you have the potential to run into toxic teammates, but when you find a team that's willing to work together, it's great. Playing with your random average online dork/gamer in voice chat these days tends to be pointless the vast majority of the time. Every time I was about to be eaten by zombies he would save me, he would give me health and ammo, and I'd try to reciprocate by shooting any zombies that were nearby, and he would lead me through the levels.
