Why is he shocked he was asked about a fellow NBA player and not an NFL owner?

Lebron is implying a few things here:

The media are in cahoots together
They are racist
They pick and choose who they want to defame or protect

IMO, at the end of the day the media is just like any greedy scumbag corporation and they care mostly about money. Asking him about Kyrie would garnish a ton more attention. Which shouldn't stop them about asking about Jerry Jones either.

Okay. But regardless his opinion on a fellow NBA player and former teammate is far more relevant than his opinion on a photo of a former NFL owner. It's not really a gotcha moment. They presumably didn't ask him about his opinion on the world cup in Qatar either. Are they supposed to ask him about every other sport except basketball in an NBA press conference?

I guess you don't know how big Lebron James really is then.

No, that explains why they asked him about Kyrie

Its not like theyre trying to sweep the Jerry jones picture under the rug. Its a huge news story. The fact they didnt ask lebron James about it means they dont care about lebrons opinion on this particular issue

LeChina is confused why the NBA media is asking about the NBA player, friend, and former teammate currently using social media to share anti-Semitic propaganda instead of a picture of an NFL owner at 14 years old in 1957.

Don't they routinely ask him questions about China? The media really does pick and choose which issues they'd like Lebron to focus on.

Same sport, just recently, black guy being racist. Versus different sport, 60 years ago, white guy being racist.

All of these factors play a part. I like Lebron and hes doing his best to help marginalized groups, but I dont think his implication is entirely justified because its not like sports media ignores prominent white men being racist/sexist/*phobic. If Jerry Jones was pictured at a Klan rally last week, I doubt itd be swept under the rug.

Lebron being lebron yet again.

if youre against racism and bigotry then you need to be against it at all forms.

A reporter is asking you about current events and you deflect to a picture taken 60 some odd years ago when racial tensions were literally coming to a head. And not to defend Jerruh, but he was a 14-16 year old teen who grew up when segregation was still legal. Racism was culture at that time.

Kyrie is in the year 2022 and spreading anti semitic propaganda.

Lebron, be better.
