For some reason they havent been taking the recycling Ive put out for awhile and I finally got around to taking it to the drop off center... which you arent supposed to put bags into the dumpsters. So I had 40~ bags worth and its a literal blizzard out... so Im tearing open the bags and dumping the contents into dumpster

An older guy pulls up and starts doing his thing... after a minute he comes around to my side and goes you have to put the cans and bottles in the other dumpsters! This is cardboard only!

I just responded read the signs please... to which he just stared at me blankly for a few seconds

So I finally walk around and point to the sign on the side of every single dumpster (theres like 8 to use) that clearly labels everything you can put in to the dumpster... first thing is cans and bottles. So I pointed at it and read it off for him and finalized it with they dont care, it can be mixed in every dumpster

And he just stomped off

So you were a dick to some guy and he walked away, and that was story worthy to you?

And he was utterly wrong and should have looked at the sign. I literally told him to read the sign and said please. I didnt start this. He wanted to tell someone else what to do when he had literally no business doing so, and was wrong to boot.

He could just be use to going places it's done a certain way. If someone accepts being corrected, they did literally nothing wrong. It's wild to expect such robotic perfection from humans. We all get caught up in what we know and have moments things change on us unknowingly. You did your part by correcting his misunderstanding. I don't think I am >_>. I just don't expect everyone to read signs when they're already use to doing something a certain way for a long time. It's human tendency to get into routine and feel you no longer need guidance. All Im doing is giving the man the benefit of the doubt of a mistake instead of projecting malicious intent on him and assuming his whole life is this type of stuff.

Also, who posts stories on message boards and expects people not to push back on perception? What you're looking for is called an echo chamber. CE never really been that. We all like to push against each others perception here. We're what a lot like to refer to as "dicks". Ok, it's sometimes that. But not like Twitter or specific Reddits

I corrected the "Im done" thing at the end. I guess noticing that wouldn't help your argument, so you went with the convenience of pretending I didn't. You're also now creating a narrative around me like you claim Im doing to the guy in the story. I actually am just doing this in-between vibing to Soul music and talking to a friend on discord. I can try to get angry if it helps validate your assumptions. But Im not the type to see a guy as a Karen just for not immediately knowing something. So, getting angry for me might be harder than you can imagine. The Soul music really works against getting angry too. It's that feel good genre. I don't feel like turning it off.
