Yeah I saw Master of Arms and there was just no way. It was bad enough making Mitama an Oni and starting out in double Es, used one of these precious Arms Scrolls. That said, those Scrolls applying to every weapon type you can equip is nice.

I did make Saizo a Dread Fighter, which is the only other wierd thing I'm doing, but I'm not using axes at all with him anyways since I'll be reverting him to a Master Ninja after hitting 35. Slightly annoyed he's stuck at B shurikens until then, but it's a good excuse to build sword rank at least.

Impression of Dark Deity from the first two chapters:

-It's actually not made in SRPG Studio which might explain why it looks so moderately nice.

-Map quality bad so far but it's early.

-There's a lot of junk here already. Why does each character need 4 different but basically identical weapons? Am I expected to remember which material of armor each unit is wearing so I can use weapons that do an extra 10% damage against that armor material? Cuz I'm not gonna.

OK looks like if you change genders, Jakob's levels don't transfer to Felicia or vice versa in branch of fate, so guess I'm starting from scratch lol.

This is what I'm going with, though Corrin will be male. I really wanted to use Nyx, but I'm not scrapping Ophelia, and the royals are already dripping with so many magic casters it's just incredibly hard to justify another Sorceror or Dark Knight.

I had planned to just use Azura again instead of Arthur, but then I saw his facial expressions in that Camilla sewer chapter and knew he was making it in. Not like I need to use Azura all 3 times, guess I was just paranoid she'd be a forced deploy at some point but that never came up.

I mean just on a fundemental level, the idea of siding with Nohr is just so stupid, that at a baseline the Nohr story doesn't have much hope, but even so.

I have no idea why they just didn't have you go full villain in Conquest. Instead, they have to trip over themselves to justify what you're doing is for the best of everyone.

As I mentioned before, most of the Birthright story could very easily be transformed into its own single narrative for a full FE game on its own, and incorporate Nohr units into it. The first 6 chapters are literally building to it as the MAIN narrative, it doesn't even feel like they're gearing up towards a choice!

Yeah, only a few classes can even get there. I think it's Sorcerer, Berserker, and Butler/Maid (staves) for Nohr and then Spear Master, Sniper, and Master Ninja (shurikens) for Hoshido.

Actually I do have an idea, it's because the writing is really really bad.

I can understand the choice between doing the right thing with your birth family you've never known vs staying with the family you always knew and loved even though they're wrong. That could be a good conceit.

They can't even do the base concept right, since it turns out Sumeragi was Mikoto's second husband, and she was his second wife, so none of the Hoshidan royals are even related to Corrin. The only person who he was actually related to on that side died in like chapter 5.

Azura is also Corrin's cousin by blood. The game kinda springs this on you after you've potentially already married her in previous routes.
