Subject matter doesn't matter too much. Only thing is I need shows that are kinda background noise and I don't need to follow along 100% of the time.

Mostly just need a show too have in the back ground as I play games on my main screen.

- I think Supernatural is pretty long

- Law and Order: SVU

- Person of Interest has 5 seasons, but the first 4 are like 20-something episodes, and the episodes are an hour long

Supernatural is 15 seasons. Im in the middle of rewatching it.

Degrassi. They have multiple series spanning decades starting in the 70s with Kids of Degrassi Street. The there's Degrassi Junior High, Degrassi High, Degrassi the Next Generation and Degrassi Next Class. It ended in 2014.

Tbh, I didnt even know it ended. I thought it would go on forever like those one my grandma watches. Haha. I remember watching that show for a while, though

HBO picked it up to do another series and then dropped it in all their scuffle going on with Discovery. So it's kind of in limbo rn

Buncha good ones listed, and supernatural was the first I was gonna mention.

Some other really good ones though.

Game of Thrones if you have not watched it. It's quite good till the last season.
Smallville is a blast to watch especially the first time.
Big bang theory is what I use when I'm eating and I don't wanna have to pay attention too much.
Along those lines is Parks and Recreation and The office. Both light shows to watch.
Breaking bad and Better call saul are both on netflix and together are a freakton to watch.
Friends is another one you can watch for a very long time, as is Sienfield. Both are light/easy.
Xena is long and fun throughout the whole series pretty much. Gabriell was a babe.
Along those lines is Buffy The Vampire slayer and Angel (Which I actually liked more). Last forever.
Doctor Who (the new ones) are good and last along time starting with Eckleslie (can't spell his name)
Simpsons as mentioned above but also South Park and Futurama.
Star trek Next gen into Ds9 into Voyager, long journey of good entertainment.
Daredevil 1-3 + jessica jones 1+2 + Defenders (not super long but Kingpin rocks).
Malcolm in the middle Superior to the middle in every way for me, great fun easy to watch series.
Lucifer (only 6? I think it was seasons, but they are long and it's enjoyable.)
American Horror Story (Fell off a bit at the end but early seasons especially were good).
Community is hit or miss at points but over all worth watching and lasts awhile. I just don't like Chevy.
Rick and Morty. I marathon of that and solar opposites would be great especially if you do drugs.
The magicians Last season was meh but it lasts awhile and fox sex rules so yeah...worth it.
Modern Family is probably one of the best long running "Family shows" after Malcom in the middle.
The Middle is good, as long as you have not recently watched Malcom in the middle.

That should get you started and hits most genres. Tons of other good ones as well, but that is probably enough to have shows going non-stop every waking hour for a year.

Two of the main characters turn into foxes and get freaky in the show..forget which season but it's 1 or 2.
