Sleep mode doesn't count. I mean actually leaving it running without using it for some reason.Like back in the days when there no such things as save points so you just left your console on overnight, or like maybe a couple of days.

I used to go to my friend's house to play Melee every friday in his basement. He didn't use his gamecube for anything else. One time I guess we just turned the TV off and not the gamecube. I remember turning the TV on and the victory screen from the last match we played a week ago was still going. Captain Falcon clapped for an entire week

When the battery in my Saturn died and I wanted to play Dragon Force, I would have to leave it on 24/7 since I couldn't save. I did this for a couple weeks straight.

Definitely did the old leave the Cube on for a day to unlock Mewtwo in Melee several times. I don't think I ever did multiple days in a row though

Yes, my Switch stayed on for weeks after an update because I didnt pay attention to it.

Also when I was little I broke our Atari by failing to turn it off and then doing post-toddler amoeba brain things.

When I got my PS2 for Xmas, I didn't get a memory card, so I think I left Tony Hawk on for two days until I could save.

Probably more than a few times, but one that stuck out to my memory is the time I left my PS1 running when I went to school. I was playing FFIX and it was right after the airship crashed at that cursed forest or whatever in the very beginning and I couldn't find a way out of the first area, so I couldn't save. It was through a hollow log on the bottom right corner of the screen IIRC.

I used to keep my DS plugged in for days so I could start new Pokemon saves without erasing my original file.

Longest was leaving my PS3 on for 2 weeks straight getting the mortal kombat 9 platinum

i used to leave my ps2 on all day if i wasn't at a save point at the exact minute i wanted to go to bed and then wonder why my ps2s kept breaking

Yes, FFXII for PS2. There's a particular spot you can farm to level 99 automatically (though wouldn't recommend it for you first playthrough).

Also Halo: Reach for Xbox 360. There's a way you can farm credits automatically.

when I was playing through Super Mario Bros 3, I did convince my mother to leave the NES on over the course of a couple days. Of course, someone bumped it and the game froze before I beat the game.

I left my ps3 overnight to finish Catherine in the morning, because I didn't want to repeat the earlier parts of the final chapter to get to the final boss again.

also I was dumb about transferring from my 3ds to new 2ds and didn't delete my files first so it ended up taking well over 24 hours. >_>

I did, for several days, with the Lete River trick in FFVI, to get everyone to level 99. At least, IIRC... I've heard that it's supposedly not possible(?), yet I thought I did it successfully...
