i'm amused with them taking a step back from legends arceus' praised fast capture system where you can throw pokeballs and catch in one smooth motion, no battle music or anything.

Even Dunkey liked Arceus and he thought every pokemon game was the same thing

I think Scarlet looks like an upgrade to anything since XY. Am I missing something that should make me think otherwise?

I mean isn't that what legend of arceus was trying to do? Granted, it isn't perfect but it certainly is the right step to putting the franchise in a different direction. I just hope they start to actually improve their visuals.

Well that is kind of the problem about leaks, you dont know what is true or not and context get muddled.

That was leaked by one of the main leakers a few months ago

and the game has been in the wild for long enough now that if it wasn't true people would have said something... like Nemu says its probably gonna be DLC-bait again. Why drop a one time $60 game when you can make $100 on it

You realize DLC bait or not changes nothing when it comes to rather there is Post Game content or not right?

I haven't played Legends of Arwhatever or Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu, but I feel I'd be missing something from a mainline game if it wasn't a more traditional battle to catch them rather than what I hear the system is in either of these.

The point is that the DLC is going to be the post-game content. This is the first time the third legendary isn't in the base game at all, after all. More than the last game that just had two add on areas, this is going to be essential to get the full experience and context of the main game.

The logically speaking this can be applied to any and all DLC. A flawed degree of logic just to make an argument that they are cutting content to resell later.

Not really. It's a mixed bag of large stuff that clearly would not have been possible in the normal development cycle, stuff that probably would have made the cut but they put it off into DLC to make more money (which can be a good or bad thing depending on the quality of said content), cut and repackaged day one content to gouge the consumer, and minor stuff. This is definitely a case of the 2nd example, taking stuff that's a staple and packaging it under DLC. It may or may not be worth it depending on how expansive the content is, but it's definitely a bit scummy either way.

Did you miss the part where the third legendary isn't in the base game? The current endpoint is a cryptic entry describing it. As in, that's going to be the focus of at least one expansion if they do two of them again.
