Hell I feel BETTER the morning after because alcohol helps me sleep better. The one negative effect is that for like a day afterwards, I have trouble gauging how hungry I am. --- http://i.imgur.com/LabbRyN.jpg raytan and Kana are on opposite ends of the Awesome Spectrum. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I've had one. Mostly, I make a point of staying up and drinking plenty of water until I no longer feel drunk, then going to bed. Most of the time, that's enough to stave off a hangover. --- This is my signature. It exists to keep people from skipping the last line of my posts. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I do always keep water at the bedside and drink a couple bottles before I fall asleep, so that probably helps. I absolutely fall asleep while feeling drunk, though; if the alcohol is fading, my OCD-ish attention to noise will keep me awake. --- http://i.imgur.com/LabbRyN.jpg raytan and Kana are on opposite ends of the Awesome Spectrum. ... Apparently youre not actually sleeping when you go to bed drunk. The alcohol makes you sleepy but your body doesnt actually get the sleep. I dont know much about it or how to describe it really. But I definitely felt that way when I used to get drunk a lot also I definitely didnt start getting bad hangovers until later in my life, and by then it was like Hangovers that would last multiple days --- Big yellow joint big yellow joint I'll meet you down at the big yellow joint ... I never used to get one. Though it was partly helped by the fact that I used to drink some Gatorade and a soda before bed, so I was fighting off the dehydration and the depressant effects of the alcohol with hydration and caffeination. That and my high tolerance usually left me feeling fine the next day after a good night sleep. But once I hit 40 I started feeling it more, to the point where now I kind of feel a bit wrung out the next day even if I only have a couple drinks. Which is why I've really scaled back my drinking lately. Even more so because I've always been a social drinker (I drink with other people in larger groups, I rarely drink alone). And with the pandemic I basically stopped going to parties, so most of the times I would have been drinking in the first place essentially went away. But even now that I've started going out again on occasions I tend to avoid drinking. --- "Wall of Text'D!" --- oldskoolplayr76 "POwned again." --- blight family ... Copied to Clipboard!
