I have enough self-awareness not to spiral down this dumb cultural trend. First thing is to not watch or view people like Peterson if you disagree with him so much. I literally don't care for Peterson or whatever this incel thing is. Again, have some self-awareness.

he became famous for fear-mongering about a bill that instituted gender identity as a protected class

A friend of mine actually had him as a professor in some psych course. She says he knew his shit (some Jungian type stuff) but it was clear he had a very big ego and he only seemed to have young women assistants

I see more people who bash him post about Jordan Peterson more than people who like him here. Its strange since we keep being reminded of him by his haters, but it would be better for them to not even mention the guy if they disliked his philosophy.

A "circlejerk" is about who the audience is. IE the primary viewership of illuminati's videos is people who already hate Jordan Peterson.

Hate to burst your bubble if you think the general audience of this youtuber is centrist fence sitters or right wingers who need this evidence layed out to change their mind about Peterson. It's not. People subscribed to this channel tend to already know at least vaguely that he sucks. You can check the comments to see for yourself.

Obviously I could use more charitable language and "circlejerk" is dismissive of an effort, but then again, I did say it was my "less generous" way of describing it.

One of the reasons I stopped paying attention to Breadtube stuff is that it really was being a circle jerk. It just wasn't meaningful anymore, and mostly telling me things I already knew, and not being very provocative about it.

Didn't watch, but my guess is he was once a great psychologist who turned evil when he realized he could use his psychology skills to easily manipulate right wingers, the same way Trump was, and get popular that way. He must have made millions since he turned evil.

Its why alot of doctors became anti-vax and signed off on BS vaccine and mask exemptions.
