I worked at a summer camp the year Puss in Boots' solo movie was released to theaters. For whatever reason, every single child was obsessed with it. Every single time we would put on a movie, they would vote for it to be Puss in Boots. We had a tournament to see who their favorite princess was. Princess Kitty Softpaws won. They asked for Puss in Boots to be added to the theatrical productions we were putting on with them. I watched at least part of that movie at least three times a week for multiple weeks on end.

He's hard not to like, but also way less funny than I remembered. His movie's good fun though and different enough from Shrek to warrant being its own thing.
