I kinda suspect he's going to be out for a little while because he shouldn't have played here. Part of why I took the Bengals was suspicion that Tua wouldn't last the game.

I took the Bengals because I thought the Dolphins as a whole would have a hard time on a short week after how grueling the Bills game was

After that run by Teddy I'm wondering if the Dolphins are going to tack on yet another unconvincing win.

Being 4-0 on TNF all in contested games feels like it's keeping me afloat.

Anyways I'm still not at all sold on the Dolphins, but with their upcoming schedule they have a lot of wins coming up so they'll be fine.

And for the last undefeated team, I'm not really sold on the Eagles, either. They haven't played an actual contending team yet, and I don't feel like we'll learn anything about what the Eagles really are until weeks 5 and 6.

I'm gonna miss another parlay by 1 yard. Unbelievable. Two tough beats in two weeks bleh. Got a couple future bets in baseball that should be locks that I want to cash out now cause I'm feeling cursed.

And the Cowboys are who they get in week 6. I want to see how their offense holds up against that defense.

I had them as the NFC 6 seed in the preseason, but I haven't seen enough to buy into them as worldbeaters yet... Not until they prove their consistency against a team that matters.

The Bills game was the Bills forgetting to execute at key moments of a game they thoroughly dominated. I just chalk it up as a clunker and every team has those.

There are like, 5 big reasons the Bills lost that game. Change any single one of them and the Bills win.

Agreed on the Dolphins btw. They could easily be 1-3. Ravens game was a fluke and the Bills game was just weather.

Literally every team in the league could be 3-1 or 1-3. Don't just dump that on Miami.

Sure, the Dolphins winning both of those games is pretty improbable, but they did win them.

This is the curse of modern analytics that teams who win close games aren't good, they're just lucky and teams that lose close games aren't bad, they're just unlucky, so you're viewed more favorably for losing than winning.

This is how you get talking heads picking the Chargers to win the Super Bowl every year because they were secretly really good last year (and the year before that, and the year before that, too).

Honestly, this injury to Tua with him being rushed back to play in blatant contradiction of what the NFL has been preaching for several years could be what finally pushes me away from caring about football. Especially if the league tries to sweep it under the rug like they did with him last week.

Like, I've known all along that football is a very dangerous and violent thing, but this blatant disregard is stunning.

The Bills ran 3x the offensive plays and lost. Thats weather. It also exhausted the Dolphins defense, which you saw last night.

They ALSO had a critical turnover early in the game that was the only way the Dolphins could have gotten that far down field against a superior Bills D early in game.

And the missed FG forced a TD attempt later that failed.

But yeah, weather played a massive part, given Diggs could run like, one play an offensive possession in the last quarter.

I've known for years that the only reason I still watch football is I continue to give myself an incentive to watch. Blade stopped bothering like 5 years ago. I know one of these years I'm going to do the same and it's just going to be a clean cut out like I did with college sports.

(Also participation in youth football is basically dropping every year, and moments like this are a good part of why. That's like the one stat they'd actually be worried about).

I'm not trying to defend anyone in this situation, but he was clearly talking about how there was a scare his neck was broken or that he was even paralyzed. People using that single quote out of context to bury him are a little ridiculous

That's why you send teams that can male for a competitive game. They don't actually have to be good. We know what the Giants are. The Packers will probably be wasting the 4pm slot on a blowout today too, but at least the Patriots weren't a known yet. They knew when they scheduled that game they were giving them a massacre.

I made my first change of the season to said Giants though. I still think they're worth pretty much nothing nothing, but the Bears without Montgomery to lead that offense are probably only going to win this game if Jones gives it away.
