All the algorithm cares about is getting you to click on things and stay online more. When you're pissed off you do that more so YouTube loves to feed you videos that will trigger a strong negative reaction. I remember once when I hate watched a few Ben Shapiro videos and my YouTube feed was filled with that garbage for weeks.
