Once shuffled, the cards are spread in a circle around the "King's Cup", and each player takes turns pulling a card. Each card corresponds to a different rule. Pull a 2, and you point at someone else to make them drink - 2 is You. Pull a 3, you have to take a drink - 3 is Me. 4 is Whores, meaning ladies drink, 6 is Dicks, meaning guys drink. Ace is waterfall, where everyone has to chug to the best of their abilities, and there's a slew of horseshit around one person starting and creating a chain or whatever but imo it's better if everyone just chugs hard. It's called King of Beers because whenever you pull a king, you have to tip some of your drink into the central cup. And whoever pulls the fourth and final king has to drink whatever unholy concoction that has accrued over the course of the game. Some people call it King's Cup, which makes more sense, but fuck that. It's king of beers. Except the rules were different for the various cards, and we didnt have the middle cup thing (although that sounds fun). Numbered cards = If you draw a red card, you drink the number of the card. If you draw a black card, you tell someone to drink that number. Jack = Thumb rule. If you had the current Jack, then if you put your thumb on the lip of your cup/can/bottle, then all other players would need to do so. Last player to do it would need to take a drink. You could abuse the hell outta this if you wanted, but if you did, youd likely get drinks directed at you from other peoples black numbered cards. You lose this power once someone else draws the next Jack. Queen = Question Rule. If you had the current Queen, then if you asked someone a question and they answered it, theyd need to take a drink. If they responded with Fuck you, then you take a drink. People would try to be nonchalant about it, with simple stuff like Whose turn is it? or Hey, while youre getting up, could you grab me a drink? You lose this power once someone else draws a Queen. King = Waterfall. Everyone starts chugging. You cannot stop chugging until the person to your right stops chugging, starting with whoever drew the King (so that person initially dictates the pace of the waterfall). Whoever is sitting to the left of the person who drew the King then essentially needs to keep chugging until everyone else has stopped. Ace = Make a rule. This stays in effect for the rest of the game. I knew you were pretty light hearted about it but on reflection I also agree that its still not cool to post things like that because there could be other people who are struggling or whose drinking habit makes them feel ashamed and I wouldnt want to contribute to making them feel judged. Having gone through a ton of battles with addiction myself, I do need to stay mindful that its not always apparent how a person views their self in relation to that struggle. I do remember we had things like "Roll a 5, the player to your left drinks" and "Roll a 6, player to right drinks" Threeman rules: Play with 2 dice and at least 2 people. Drinking is done in sips. If someone rolls the combination 1 & 2 that person becomes the threeman. Every time one of the 2 dice shows a 3, that person has to drink no matter who's turn it is. If someone else rolls a 1 & 2 they are now the threeman. Double: Any time a double is rolled, that person can choose how to divide that number of sips among the players. Let's say you roll 2 fives, then you can divide 5 sips among the others however you want. Even having 1 person do all 5. If the 2 dice total to 8: make up a rule. Your imagination is the limit. We'd usually do things like "spin around before taking a sip" or "if 7 is the total, players on either side have to take a sip". If a player breaks or forgets a rule, they have to take a sip.
