PS4 version is worse than Switch? How did that happen?

PS4 version is a straight port of Falcom's Kai release.

Switch is a port NISA did of the above and consequently was able to add QoL updates on top of it.

I'm obviously a bit of an exceptional case here, but honestly it's probably fair to call "Estelle, Joshua, and Renne" my favorite plotline in any fictional story. Close to it, for sure. (I'm including things from the Sky games also in that statement though)

although for what it's worth, I do think the Bills are the best team in the league this year and the AFC South is so bad that I'm not too concerned about Tennessee's chances yet

Xenoblade 2 chapter 5 beated.

I don't have anything specific to comment on but overall this game is so strange. Half the time it feels like a JRPG masterclass and the other half I'm spamming the gacha just to find [literally anything with Earth Mastery] or spending 3 minutes navigating through menus to change my blade lineup just so I can open a chest in an area I visited 2 chapters ago in order to get 1000 gold and another gacha roll.

Field Skills are a pretty criticized area of XB2, yeah.

XB3 learned the lesson.

How has the Rare Blade hunt gone so far? Get anyone good?

I've gotten a few but I'm not like actively trying to look for anyone. I'm just spinning the gacha once in a while and seeing what pops out.

Azami is cool and her quest line as been easily my favorite sidequest so far. Shame there's probably several others like it I'll just never know about.

A lot of the Blade quests are really good. But, it is understandable if you don't want to grind the gacha to unlock them all.

LotR: Rings of Power Eps 1-4:

I meant to watch this earlier but between Xenoblade 3, F/GO, and just stuff I kept not having the time. But finally I did. Basically all I remember from the appendices is that Isildur has to make his way to Middle-Earth so other than that I don't really know what'll happen.

It's so weird coming back here sometimes and seeing all the top x topics. I never did that many, and I didn't even finish most that I began, but now I get paid to do it.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure like nobody knows this right now. I don't know about the PC version. I'm about to ask a colleague.

For the record, there's like a tiny chance I'm wrong, but someone asked me what I thought of a certain Vita sidequest and I'm like 95% certain I don't have it

I didn't get to play the Vita sidequests either since the fan translation patch was for the original game.

Yeah, I get that what happened in North Ambria is left a bit mysterious in the games, but I feel like they gave us enough that we could fill in the blanks for ourselves. I don't really see the need for this (other than trying to expand the series fanbase).

Man, no game stresses me out more every year than Tennessee/Florida and that first half was no exception

I've been thinking that the Stranger with the Hobbits is Sauron from the start because of... just everything about him lol... so I'm inclined to think the Adar thing is a fakeout because he never actually said he was when asked.

Also Arondir needs to just take that sword hilt and run tbqh. Like strategically that has to be the right move regardless of how callous it is, right? Hell, I thought he was going to suggest that Theo and his mom take it and head towards the nearest Elf outpost while he tries to delay. Though I guess they don't seem to have any horses or anything from what I can tell so maybe they really are that screwed.

Also we were up 17 with 5 minutes left and somehow it came down to a last second Hail Mary anyway

Remake Aerith really upped her for me. Hah.

Remake Aerith is just FFVII Aerith! Which is good, mind you, because FFVII Aerith is great.

The Aerith in Kingdom Hearts and Crisis Core might as well be a different (and worse) character, so it was good to see Remake bring her back to center. I guess people being reminded of what she was originally like has rejuvenated her popularity.

I'd argue Remake Aerith is the truest to the original of all the major characters we've seen so far. I guess you could say getting more of that makes her better (other than her unfortunate involvement with the ghosts), but yeah.

I dunno, maybe youre right. But I would at least say seeing that original characterization of hers brought to life in this fashion leaves a much stronger positive impression on me.
