Okay, so unless I'm gravely mistaken (or got blocked by the previous topic maker), the last thread fell off. So, uh, here's this one instead. Kinda curious to see if the next set of packs are the stuff with the Albaz Strike/Vampire/BEWD support, or the Marincess/Water support.

They finally announced the next pack coming in a couple of days.

Branded support is the main meta-shaking thing in this pack, plus support for Blue-Eyes, Rokket, Swordsoul, Ghostrick, and some other stuff. I don't give a shit about any of it, so this gives me at least another month to save for the Marincess pack (which is the last of the three selection packs that were datamined last month so it should be coming next month)

Went against a nifty Floo player who was using Simorgh support.

Not sure the Simorgh field spell is worth running because Floo has no problem keeping up its resources, but hey it was interesting. Still won though. Engage off of Engage and then Widow Anchor'd their penguin lmao

as for the new selection pack, I do want some of it but idk. Definitely want the vampire but not sure if I want it enough to not keep saving for the water pack. Dont feel like Despia is worth it for me ince I have almost none of the cards and it seems like a hue investment

Branded Fusion makes it look like a joke, although now that I think of it, its sole saving grace is that it allows whatever plays (not just fusion) before you end in Anaconda -> REF...

....then we know where the green plant snake will go.

Is Branded Fusion confirmed? Cuz with Icejade, it's just like an easy t1 for several months

It's not "confirmed" confirmed but I don't see any reason it wouldn't be considering it's in the same deck as Icejade, who is confirmed. <_<

Looking into some other stuff that might be coming, Odd Eyes Rebellion Overlord looks nifty. Not a game changer, but a 3x attacking 3k beatstick off of any two level 4s is neat. Hoping it's not a UR but I'm worried because it's a featured card in one of the leaked loaner decks.

Two days ago, I read about '8-Axis' deck in MDM because I found the name so weird.
Yesterday I met that exact deck.

They ended up scooping when I topdecked Chambermaid right as I had no more cards in my hand after throwing them on my previous turn and hoping their Zeus would take the bait and clear my board.

I love Mana Dragon Zirnitron.

8-Axis has always interested me but it's so fucking expensive. Looking at it right now there's like 15 URs I would need lol

Also reconsidering on Branded. Apparently Branded Tri-Brigade is a thing and wouldn't need too much, would love to have an excuse to bust that deck out again, love those steampunk furries.

Tri is still pretty good. DPE being less prevalent will probably mean they'll be relevant again. Zoo engine is definitely gonna make a comeback. DPE isn't going away entirely but yeah I think Tri is playable.

Then again, any deck that does Halq the most consistently is still gonna be the best deck of the format, which is pretty sad.

Huh. Branded Lost makes it so cards activation that fusion summon cannot be responded.

.........I would gladly get it for Red-Eyes Fusion because, honestly, I'm sick of it being Ashed.

Jesus Christ that is a LOT of URs. As is tradition, spent 8k of my saved gems and didnt pull a single Branded Fusion.

I have most of the Branded cards already, but I dunno if I really want it tbh. I don't even think Branded is gonna immediately be the best deck regardless. Pretty sure Halqdon beats it to the ground 100%. Branded has never been full power with Halqdon/stealth bomber rank 7 xyz completely legal. I don't think outside of super poly or like Droplets/Druler, they break boards all that well

Guess I'm running SwordSoul lol. Though Im compelled to try something with pendulums. Cant imagine it'll be good without Link support, but I must. >_>

That reminds me, back in Synchro festival I used a Kaiju deck and beat the opponents with brute forcing.

Disguster with how many URs branded despia costs. That being said I dismantled everything except staples to build it.

Only missing 1 of each of the big fusions, 1 tax collector, 1 titaniclad, 1 mercourier, 1 fairy tail snow, and 1 branded lost.

The deck runs fine with the ratios I have but I hate that I need to either dismantle 27 more URs or pull them.

The only card in the new pack that I care about is Dharc the Dark Charmer, Gloomy. That'll be a nice link 2 to add to my Sky Striker deck and a few others. Thankfully it's only an SR so I can just craft it.

Good, sounds like it'll be a nice break from the Halq+Auroradon and Verte+DPE shenanigans plaguing ranked right now. Gotta see the event banlist to make sure though. If they leave Floowandereeze untouched, it'll probably do the same thing that True Draco did to the Synchro festival.

I feel like as long as they ban the statue, Floo would be tolerable, since Empen's easy to play around. Hitting D. Shifter would also help a lot, though >__>

I dismantled floow after they hit prosperity. I NEVER draw into Robina or the field spell under normal circumstances so lowering my chances to dig for it just makes me not want to play the deck.

I tweaked mine to go from 3 Duality and 3 Prosperity to 3 Duality, 3 Extravagance, and 1 Prosperity. It bricks a bit more than usual, but I think it's still usable. Plus I also run both Terraforming and Metaverse to search the field spell.

They literally need to only ban the wind statue, and only like Simorgh would be hit in terms of big rogue hit. It wouldn't eliminate like pure stun decks or anything

I guess my gems will be put into Pend Mage secret pack (after buying 2 more of that Pend Mage structure).

They /should/ be able to do something in Sync/Xyz fes even without Electrumite....right?

What should I craft to open it. Pack pulling gacha is weird shit; you craft a card to open the pack, yoy might never get it later on.

Could probably craft Purple Poison. Some decks run 2 or even 3 so it won't matter if you pull a second.

Or you can craft Double Iris because he's in every list anyway

Also I realized maybe my biggest weakness in a duel, sometimes I wait too long to screw over the other dude. Went well tonight but sometimes it doesnt.

Had the guy basically completely dead, all he had was two monsters that were no threat. I could have solemned one of them but I wanted to see where he was going. Goes into Halq which I could have gotten rid of but Im likenah lets see what he building towards.

Finally gets to Auroradon and finally Im likesolemn strike.

He rages. Felt good lol. But sometimes I wait too long. I just like leading them on until they get to the end of their combo, then just ruining it. Bare minimum at least it gets those cards in the GY and out of play.

Nah, nothing like that. I was trying to continue my two topic long (as of... this one) trend of naming these after a monster from that level or rank. Like how #8 was Brick-Eyes, and #9 probably would have involved VFD or Shenshen. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling witty enough to come up with one for Eldlich - and forgot Trains/Earth Machines were a thing - so... I just went with the floodgates.

Pend Mage is really swingy. And if they negate or mess with Astrograph or Eletrucmite your kinda hosed. Plus side is that is super Rogue that not many people know what the deck does. And yeah, Eletrucmite is key to the deck working. I wouldnt trust it for the XYZ/Syncho fest

Ive always had far better luck pulling on the selection packs and just dismantling. I spent 6k gems (3k each for two separate hero packs) to come out with only 2 URs. Where I usually always get something better on selection packs along with upgrades to glossy or Royal more often.

That may just be my experience though.

If nothing else, I can finally have a pendulum deck. Besides, Magician of Pendulum structure has a nicely colored deck case.

It's either my Synchro deck or finding a way to dump Lv 7 on board so I can do Flare Metal Dragon, really.

I guess because with Selection the draw pool is only from that pack, whereas Secret packs pull is 4 Master Pack + 4 from that Secret Pack.

But I only want Borrelend and Dharc from the newest Selection pack, so.

Took Branded Tri into Gold, went against Eldlich. Fucked up by turn 1 so bad I ended up just doing Mirrorjade pass. But what followed was a really fun 11-turn grind match.

I probably could've secured victory much sooner if I used Shuraig to banish Rivalry of Warlords, but I decided to gamble and shoot their one other face down, figuring I could play around the "devil I know" Which, I did end up winning, but ..ugh. >_>

Dragon Link is a torture.

Sigh Gold 1 rank up match was against a Despia player of course and I actually could have won but my stupid mind forgot they used Infinite Imperm on column 3 and I used Hornet Drones on that exact column and got unnecessarily negated. Fuck

My galaxy eyes deck bricks so hard.

Floo is just ridiculous. Its so damn oppressive if it goes off. I kinda love of it. First time crossout saved my bacon too. Also have some clutch draws into Eglen or Robina to start plays but the deck is structured around getting to them.

I need to return to Heroes at some point but I love having a control deck on tap.

My poor Thundras continue to collect dust as the meta has out paced them slightly. I feel like Heroes have more flex in them and can do DPE easier without having to add unnecessary cards.

If you ever wanted to climb, the worst thing you can do is try it with a deck with low-mid consistency. Imo Dragonmaid has pretty bad consistency because your play relies really heavily on the starters on your hand, and your extenders tend to be nearly non-existent

I don't really 'climb' as much as trying to hit Gold 1 and drop down as much as possible later, but dang, I brick more with Dragonmaids than Gaia lol.

(It doesn't help that I lost all but one coinflip yesterday and the one I won, see the picture).

After buying the structure deck I was thinking like how I made the Gaia deck: if I keep getting Ashed might as well put more of what I need to search so they appear more often and I won't feel as bad if I got Ashed.

As it turns out sometimes it just doesn't go your way.

I always hit gold one way too fast my deck is just way to powerful buy I really don't wanna deal with Plat players

I'm already in Gold 2 on my main account, but still only in Silver 1 on my side account. I'm just doing the minimum duels necessary to complete dailies, but I keep having better luck with completing all of my dailies in one duel on my side account, so I've played fewer duels and gotten fewer wins.

I love when people take the Maxx C challenge when I'm playing Pendulums. Nothing makes me happier than drawing half my deck and comboing through their entire board.

Funniest thing was they saw me add Harmonizing to hand via Pendulumgraph, I hadn't even summoned Electrumite yet, and they still wasted their Imperm on Joker.

I would feel bad but they were playing Prank Kids. Fuck them kids. >_>

Dont know much about Galaxy Eyes but 46 seems a bit bloated.

Try looking at your last few games and seeing what cards you were least happy to see in your opening hand, and maybe start adjusting the ratios.

MR seems non-essential. And maybe consider either dropping the single Imperm or taking out one of the Droplets?

I redid my Harpie deck and it can completely shut down decks.
