Arguments for Max and DK:

I'd like to watch an LP of Life Is Strange at some point, so I deliberately avoided looking up too much stuff about Max. She can stop and rewind time, but she's also a puny human (and DK makes puny humans go smush). Hopefully this is a decent match, with or without the flavor text. You'll need to fill in the gaps yourselves!

Oh and DK destroyed Balboa, who brought boxing gloves to a coconut gun match.

Max would Go Ape on Donkey Kong.

Ok no, even as a LiS super-fan I don't think Max has a chance. She canonically doesn't have a weapon, and she can't keep rewinding over and over, it takes a toll on her body. Even if she could, she'd need to do damage and then avoid DK for awhile, otherwise her rewind would just undo it. Unless she can get a one-hit-kill, I can't see it. And DK seems difficult to one-hit-kill.

LiS spoilers She couldn't even kill him in the distant past because Max can only travel to photographs that she's in.

Both Chloe with her gun and Alex from True Colors with her empathy powers would stand a better chance against DK, imo

I mean, SuperMax has the ability to rewind time if hurt, and thus she can dodge punches by knowing exactly where things are coming. The problem is that she's quite petite and doesn't have much she can weaponize with her superpowers.

DK takes this. Max is an easy enough KO and would have to "get creative" in the right arena (i.e. the junkyard) to even be able to scratch DK. Even if she had Chloe and Chloe had the gun... DK can absorb a few bullets.

Even with time travel powers, I don't see any way Max does any real damage to DK

Max doesn't rewind herself though. If she gets hurt at all, that damage is permanent

Tornadoes are weak, so even if Max time travels enough times to ruin things irreparably to go for a mutual destruction tie, Donkey Kong will survive. If she went to the past because she somehow found a photograph of Baby DK, I am still confident that Baby DK would win. Baby Kong is shown to still have DK's herculean strength in the cartoon, and Baby DK successfully navigated Yoshi's Island (and was by far the best baby in that game).

She can rewind her way out of harm's way but it's really only buying time, she's no Prince of Persia

End of Episode 4 says if Max gets injured too badly she can't even rewind it

Donkey Kong wins pretty easily. Max's time powers aren't that useful in battle unless you have strength and skill to back it up, and Max lacks those.
