Yeah I totally love that purple swirly screen effect that completely obstructs you from seeing there's a missing block right in front of you then you step forward to get out of the portal and fall 100 blocks directly into the middle of a lava ocean that's so big you literally can't see the edges of it. It's great, it's the best thank you Mojang for having such an amazing mechanic in your game.

I made grid of chunks at the 0,0 chunk down and right at the top right of a 4/4 map, but it's got some buggy crap happening on console so I quit for now.

It was an ocean world area with a few islands. I made the boarders of the chunks in wood and filled in with grass. Had a tree farm and animal pens. Finally played with some honey bee farms. Was fun.

Yeah I havent played around with bees yet but I know where like 6 of 7 nests are. My next big project is to build an automatic wool farm. I just wanted to take a peek into the nether just to see if there was a bastion nearby and I went dead. ;-;

Also my spawn is on the border between a jungle and badlands mesa. Its legit.

Minecraft is one of those games I keep trying because I feel like I should enjoy it and yet I never do.

I hate the nether. I only go in fairly early to grab quarts and then dont go back again until Im ready to bed-mine for ancient debris. Once I have enchanted Netherite everything, then I go searching for the fortress.

Oh! For some reason I despite reading it a few times I didn't catch that. Yea I've never had the portal drop me directly over lava before.

Last time I was really into Minecraft literally none of this stuff was in the game. So like 11 years ago lol

Oh also I found an exposed mineshaft that had a cave spider spawner like 20 blocks inside so I made a spider farm \o/. Also like 60 blocks directly below my house I found a zombie spawner, so I made a zombie farm. \o/
Neither spawner had a chest though. :(

Minecraft is one of those games I keep trying because I feel like I should enjoy it and yet I never do.

It didn't really hook me until I started running mods, but that did the trick. I found Vanilla (at least, Vanilla in the ~1.5-1.10 era, since a lot has been added since) was a little too open-ended for my liking and I never really had any build ideas that were ambitious enough to keep me playing for all that long. Adding a bunch of mods gave more concrete goals to work toward, though, and more flexible tools (especially in the redstone department) to help whatever I was working toward, and that's been enough to suck me into multiple 100+ hour worlds.

So I used a seed map just to find a desert to get sand since I just couldn't find one. I noticed that two of the end portals are in this badlands biome I started in. o_o Also the closest desert to spawn is like 1000 blocks away. >_>

Im okay with the Nether, unless theres Ghasts. I fucking HATE those things!

I like Ghasts. I got an achievement by knocking its fireball back at it and killing it. It dropped a tear which I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with it.

It took so damn long to get all the sheep into their pens for the wool farm but I did it. x_x Now to dye them all appropriately. But that's a problem for future papercup.

I remember 16 colors? I remember making pens for each color, but settled for the ones I wanted lots of and a multicolor pen. I did a bunch of red abs black then a multicolor. That was the pre-bedrock ps4 version.

Yeah I *think* have I everything I need to make all the wool.

Also I need to figure out how to make an iron farm. The only village I've found so far just straight up didn't have any villagers. >=/

You might wanna just turn things to peaceful when building. I start off hard until I get a bed and enough of the mobs. I've played since early alpha so nothing to prove.

I hate you lost all that stuff in the lava. I back up my saves. I'm always carrying too much stuff to accept a death. 9 times outta 10 nowadays I'll make it through the overworld and get to Nether in all Iron or diamond. Then I get cocky and explore too much and die. And of course I can't make it back in 5 minutes. So now I just make damn sure I can't die.

You'd think by now I'd just play in creative, but when I do, it seems pointless having everything. I'm too stupid for that. I gotta work hundreds of hours getting the same shit for the thousandth time then quit randomly shortly after. And next time I play MC, I have to start ALL over. lol

My main problem is me. I need a neurological software patch to fix my hangups and stupidity.

Or worse, it turns out that you accidentally built your pens in a forest biome and eventually a wolf spawns inside the pen and murders them all.

Remember, you can shortcut it by having certain sheep mate. Like a green one and a blue one will have teal kids. Or a white one and a black one will have grey kids.

Brown's a bitch if you don't have a jungle anywhere nearby though (or in your world at all if you're playing on console with limited map space). And black can be annoying if you're having trouble getting squid to spawn.

Potion. Zombie. Trap. Boom. Repeat.

I forget the exact recipe (I'm pretty sure it involves a golden apple), but basically you find a zombie villager (they spawn randomly), then lead it into a trap where you can keep it locked up. Hit it with the potion and wait 5 minutes, and it'll turn into a normal villager. Then do it again and you've got a mating pair, and you can build a village around them. Just be careful you don't leave them out in the open where other zombies can attack them while they're changing/after they recover.

I'm still annoyed that they changed how they reproduce, because they made it way harder to actually grow villages. But it's still doable.

Since we're talking about sheep. I wanted to try the new patch. Here's my old map Thalarion. This is back when I got the platinum years ago. I just kept this legacy save from the ps4 edition.

Oooh baby found the mother of all caverns. Found like 8 exposed diamond immediately. And there's an exposed mineshaft up there, and an exposed geode off in the distance.
