Bill Burr: Live at Red Rocks dropped on Netflix and he absolutely killed it. For sports fans, he touched on the revenue disparities between mens and womens sports, particularly when it comes to soccer and the WNBA. For Bill, the answer was real simple: This is all womens fault. Look at the WNBA: they have been playing in front of 300 to 400 people a night for a quarter of a century. Not to mention, its a male-subsidized league. We gave you a league and none of you showed up. Where are all the feminists? That place should be packed with feminists faces painted, wearing jerseys, going fucking nuts like the guys do! Burr said. None of you went to the fucking games. You failed them. Not me. Not men women failed the WNBA. Ladies, name your Top 5 WNBA players of all time. Name 5 WNBA teams. Name the WNBA team in your city. You cant do it! You dont give a fuck about them. You dont sell any fucking tickets. Nobody is going to womens soccer games. Youre playing in a 20,000-seat arena, 1,500 people show up. Thats not a good night! You don't undo that quickly and womens sports are actively getting more and more popular every year. As are the standards of female athletes. They never saw it, heard it, thought about it etc. Hell right now in Europe for I believe the first time ever they are quite heavily advertising/promoting the womens Euro soccer tournament in marketing and they have gotten huge backlash for it because people don't want to see female athletes playing sports and don't want it encouraged.
