There honestly shouldn't be any issues that are divided that cleanly along party lines or at least not a statistically significant number. That it keeps happening is a fundamental problem even without considering that the issues in question are ones almost nobody should be voting against at all.

This happened just recently on whether children should be able to eat if their parents are on benefits, in the UK.

100% right wing disapproval
100% left wing "abstain"
100% third party approval

The opposition refused to vote because it would push through a policy people want, but they couldn't agree with their opposition. Major governments around the world are horrendously corrupt and never represent the issues they claim, they're all playing games for their investors.

It's disappointing how spineless the GOP have become. There used to be good Republicans but they're few and far between now. They get down on their knees for the MAGA Let's Go Brandon "what about Hunter?" morons in order to retain their seats at the table rather than do what's right for the country. Un-American cowards, the lot of them.

GOP think they have the military on lock for votes with their empty, flag-masturbating rhetoric. Every veteran and active duty soldier that I'm still in contact with has no problem with this bill because they don't want to be serving with racist scumbags.

What is that saying again? "He must be rolling over in his grave"?

While Lincoln reads slightly Right-wing to me and somewhat authoritorian. Far less so than the view I have of the contemporary Republican party.

In no way can it be construed at racism. At best one could argue that it persecutes thought crime. Except most likely the act would not forbid certain thoughts, but the expression of them. But that is the confusion caused by sensationalist headlines.

On cue for what? Laws are written about actions that can be proven, not thoughts. I feel like we are just wording things differently.

That is my only complaint about this. What is the exact criteria for determining 'white supremacy'? Apart from someone having a Nazi tattoo or flag I can't think of much else that would be concrete proof and require a dismissal.

Seems like modern McCarthyism and a waste of money to me.

Yea guys it's a "thought crime" for extremist groups to send their members to the US military to get training for future operations.

I think you're giving too much credit to the "training" the military provides. From all of the military and law enforcement I've known over the years, I can safely say, they're some of the least qualified to be handling a weapon. Stupid in, stupid out.
