Dragon 08/29/22 7:46:46 AM #210:	Made it through the outer space palace. It was repetitive like @YellowSUV said but it was still easy to navigate through. I was forced to use Haru in the opening battle against her fianc and decided to bring her along with me through the palace because no one in my main party has any psy abilities. It came in handy since a lot of the demons were weak against it. There were a few annoying red aura elephant enemies but I was able to one shot them with the bless skill that Joker has. The final room with all the doors wasn't too bad. I just ran in and out of every room and flipped every switch I could. None of the enemies respawned so it didn't take very long. When I got to the end of the room it did take me 10 minutes or so to figure out how to exit, but I made it and now I'm going to send the calling card after work tomorrow. --- Secret Board Report: 201-200! If I had failed again I was planning on watching some YouTube videos to see other peoples setups. But luckily I didn't have to do that and I managed to defeat those giant green guys. After that, it was pretty simple. When I got to Okumura I didn't expect to beat him in one hit by Joker. I expected a bit more fight than that. ~~I'm guessing the scene after everyone left is going to result in some sad news for Haru.~~ I like Haru. I enjoyed using her in this dungeon, but It's time I go back to my boy Ryuji. I've just been focusing on ranking up my Confidants. I got Chihaya and Kawakami up to rank 8 and learned the names of the people harassing them, and took a dive into Mementos to defeat them. While I was in there I attempted to take care of that arcade cheater guy, but I couldn't defeat him and got sent out. I then went to the other arcade in the city and found this little kid nicknamed King who gave me some tips, and now I have the Tower persona. Also got Yusuke up to ranks. Need to get him to rank 7. I'd love to be able to duplicate high level skill cards. What's a good way to get those high skill cards? I don't think I have any yet. I believe I also maxed out Maruki but I'm not completely sure. I got him to rank 9 and he said there's going to be no more visits. Do I still have one more rank for him, or am I done with him? I checked the guide and it just says "story progression". I also can't seem to find Akechi. Online it said to find him by the darts&billiards lounge, but he's not there. Is he in hiding? I'm in the beginning of October. I only have him at rank 2 or 3 so I'd like him to get a bit higher. I keep running into Mashima and I always forget he exists. Is there any point of ranking him up? Before taking a break I was about to meet up with Kasumi, but we entered a palace. I needed to take a break to study but I'm going to play more tonight. The new reading (celestial/fusion alarm) you got from Chihaya is fantastic for maxing out personas. You could still do it without, but getting alarms faster is better. Go around instakilling things until a fusion alarm triggers, then teleport back to the start for the velvet room. Use the gallows to sacrifice a persona to another for an xp boost, then fuse 2 other personas, then gallows the newly fused persona (which should have a yellow name) to cause an accident and gain +10 stats to the target persona. If you want to risk it, you can usually get away with another gallows after the fusion before the forced accident for some extra xp. Gallows normal (xp), fusion, gallows normal (xp), gallows the result of the fusion (+10 stat). Using the gallows during an alarm doesn't count against the normal once a day limit, so you can cap a persona in a single day at mementos or a palace just by repeatedly triggering fusion alarms and using the gallows. As for getting higher level skill cards, try using the electric chair during fusion alarms. It bumps the potential result up a level, like bufu->mabufu->bufula->mabufula->bufudyne->mabufudyne. It's been a while, but I think there is an option when viewing the compendium that will show what the normal result from electric chair will be? It sucks that Akechi is only available on certain nights, but is it true after rank 6 he opens up more? I made it to the Destinyland celebration and it was cute seeing Ryuji in bear ears but holy shit that was a ~~brutal death for Okumura. Seeing his blood shot eyes was pretty fucked up.~~ Now everyone is beginning to doubt the Phantom Thieves and my ranking percentage is going down, but I got two new Mementos requests which I can do after the exams when Haru join my team again. The downside is I don't think I'll have much time to play this weekend, but I plan to at least send the calling card and defeat the boss. I enjoyed the palace. The first half where you have to get the 10,000 coins was a lot more difficult than the second half. There were so many, many battles and I had to keep using potions to restore my SP little by little. But luckily I managed to get to level 54 and I upgraded my Faith persona. I also had to go back and forth between using Ryuji and Haru. And I'm going to finish the palace using Akechi because I like his skills. Before sending the calling card I went to the paintball shop and bought some upgraded gear for him. While I did enjoy the story leading up to the palace, I didn't like how much time was wasted where I wasn't able to leave. And I had to lose four days due to the exams. I tested negative twice but I know I have it because my sister tested positive last week and we have the exact same symptoms, only mine were worse, which is odd because I'm boosted and she only has the second dose. After doing nothing but sleeping on and off for 30 hours I'm doing a lot better. I was able to eat some grapes and oatmeal then I took a shower and felt well enough to sit up. I do have some work that needs to be done but I can save that over the weekend when I'm feeling better. I've never gone on a cruise ship before, but this place was huge! It started with Joker and everyone needing to get five different parchments from five separate people and with those parchments you use them to unlock the main room. Only each person was in a different area of the cruise ship. Luckily this area was somewhat linear so you just advanced to the next area after defeating the shadow. The interactions were cute, especially Futaba when she whipped out her laptop and started showing off her skills. It was also nice seeing how each of these five shadows connected to the story in some way, giving the story some extra closure. The mice part was annoying at first, but it ended up not being too bad after I knew what I was doing. I mainly tried to defeat all the shadows in an area before turning into a mouse so I wouldn't have to deal with running away from them. The cheese items were a nice touch, both making fun of mice and their love of cheese and giving me the SP boost I desperately needed. I had to restore my SP a few times because of how many shadows I got into battle with. The ending took me by surprise. I'm a bit conflicted on how I feel about Akechi. I don't know whether to dislike him or feel sorry for him. But I will say his alter persona was pretty badass looking and I much prefer that look on him than his red/white one. I still think the pyramid palace is the best one, but the cruise ship one is maybe top 3. More aquatic looking shadows would have been nice. There was one dark manta ray looking shadow but that was it. I'm about to leave the palace. Instead of leaving straight away I decided to explore some more so that I could save.
