Cruise ship is great but the mouse section is the most annoying section in the game that goes on way too long imo.

I can see why a lot of people find it annoying. It felt random as well.

I cant wait. Im guessing its the place where Kasumi got her mask.

If I recall the mouse section of the Cruise Ship was much more annoying in the original version of the game. I was kind of dreading it while playing Royal but had no problem doing so.

Alright! So I beat the shadow version of Shido. At first I thought I won after beating that pyramid thing, but then I realized that wasn't the actual battle and I had to battle Shido head on. The first half of the battle was straight forward and I hit him with my best moves. I was using my usual party of Morgana, Ryuji and Ann. Everything was going smoothly until he reset and got even stronger. I used my same strategy of using my best moves, but I decided to use items to buff myself as well since Futaba was slacking. When I got close to beating him, he did some move and killed Morgana, Ryuji and Ann in one hit. Thankfully, Futaba swapped them out and Yusuke, Makoto and Haru joined the battle.

Now I had a choice to make. I could either revive my main party (which tbh, I'm not actually sure I can at this point) or stick with the three that were just sent out. Before entering the palace for my battle with Shido, I paid a visit to Iwai. I bought all my backup members full gear which I haven't done for a few palaces. So now Yusuke, Makoto and Haru had current gear. I also got Mishima to max rank a while back so these three have been getting just as much experience as the others. They were ready for battle and I knew I could depend on them.

So I continued the battle. It got to where it was down to just Joker and Shido at the end. I did get a little scared that I would have to start over, but I ended up beating him.

Then I just had to wait for the change of heart.

I had like 20 days until the change of heart and I did all I could. I maxed out a few more confidants, namely Sojiro and I forgot who else. I got a few others ranked up a bit as well. I spent more time hanging out with Hifumi Togo and Kasumi Yoshizawa. Also spent a few afternoons going into Mementos after getting some requests.

I'm now back in school and the change of heart happened. Although I only played until the day after I went back to school before saving. I took my time during those 20 days and just enjoyed the game. All I did this weekend was sleep and play this game because I was sick, but today I went back to work. I also have a ton of studying to do because I haven't worked on my programming for about a week now, but by tomorrow I should be well enough to start focusing on that again.

I don't know how much time I have left in the game, but I know I'm nearing the end. I don't want to say I'm going to play less, because I know that's not true. But I'm going to start taking my time more so I can appreciate the game more before it ends.

While you're nearing the end, you have more time than you probably think since you're playing Royal. No spoilers, but you can imagine there's an "epilogue" tacked on to the end of the game that spans one month or so

Ah okay. Good to know. I got to where Morgana suggested going to Mementos and destroy it. Will likely complete it tomorrow.

Wow I did not know it was going to be a palace. Cool. Excited to see whats going to be on the bottom. I got to the second safe room before turning it off. I nearly got killed by a red aura enemy so I need to remind myself that Im not invincible. It was some giant blob guy who absorbs physical attacks and after a few turns he nearly killed Joker but luckily I was saved by Ryuji and Futaba.

How's the music?

I listened to it for a bit while beating down some demons and while in the safe room. I like it. I tend to play after midnight so my volume isnt always that high but I do really like the chill music.

I have an iPhone so I don't think I can do that.

After I started this palace I expected for there to be everything a normal palace to have, including Will Seeds. Turned out I was at the very end of the palace when I got to my previous safe room and I ended up fighting someone called Holy Grail. After I lost or whatever the sky turned dark and I began to disappear. Kind of sucks because I wanted to listen to the music some more to get a better listen. Then Igor told me my game was over and I thought I lost.

But it turns out I was given one more chance. I almost fucked up too, because I was very close to selecting "Very well..." but I decided to look up the answer just in case and I ended up picking the correct answer.

After that, holy shit I did not see any of that coming. I did always find it weird how Igor's voice doesn't match his character portrait but I chalked that up to the devs wanting Igor to have a demonic/omniscient sounding voice. And while I was going through this palace I did expect to see Igor at the end because it's a prison but I didn't think he was an evil version of him. Now I know what the real Igor sounds like and what the real Lavenza looks like. I like Lavenza's new look but I only ever got my Strength confidant up to rank 2. Does that mean I no longer have a chance to rank her up?

The scenes that took place after reminded me of the ending of Digimon Adventure 01 when everyone had a self revelation and got their crests back. But now I got everyone back and we're ready to save the world again.

I saved afterwards because I had been playing over an hour and it was raining pretty bad here so I thought my power might go out, but I'll continue tomorrow night.

You're now at the finale of vanilla P5! Really this section is awesome. Also 3 and 4 players probably had an easier time with predicting the Igor twist since he has a completely different VA (P5 real Igor's VA is different too, but much closer to the old Igor VA than fake Igor).

That and fake Igor says welcome to MY velvet room instead of THE velvet room.

I'm playing Strikers for the first time right now and it's made me really wanna replay 5. 120+ hour time investment though. This topic isn't helping!

Really this section is awesome.

I can already tell. I just went through the Holy Grail path and had to defeat a bunch of demons and four angelic bosses. By the end of it all I was paranoid I was going to die and lose all my progress but luckily I made it. Now I'm up to the final boss of this section but I most likely won't be able to fight him until tomorrow night or Thursday.

How is Strikers? And you should do it! Go through NG+ or even start fresh.

Strikers is really fun! No SLs, but there are a lot of story events with the whole team. Also the gameplay is action-based there (people call it a musou, but tbh it feels more like an ARPG)

Yeah I feel like calling Strikers a musou does it a disservice. I started Strikers on hard mode and in my experience you can't really go balls out right away like you can in musou games, you'll just get your cheeks clapped if you don't put actual thought into it.

I honestly wasn't feeling Strikers combat at first, maybe because I expected it to be more like a musou. As mentioned, even on Normal there are times where you really need to use everything available (your combos, the environment, positioning, etc.). It took time but I'm into it now.

Strikers is more of a direct to video sequel to Persona 5. That said, since Persona 5 is one of the best games ever, Strikers is still really good.

Thanks everyone for all the saves. I really appreciate it! Been a few weeks since I last played but about to boot up the game now. Im going to hopefully beat the Mementos boss in less than an hour so I can get some sleep. Lets see how this goes.

Holy! What a wild ride of emotions I just went through.

So the first few rounds of the beginning battle were very straight forward. I sent Ryuji out to cut off the vines that connected the Holy Grail to everyone else. After a few turns of waiting around for him he finally went up and sliced them off in one swoop. Thankfully after that the Holy Grail was no longer able to heal. A few turns later I defeated him and.. was that it? Nope!

He transformed into that giant mecha guy! I really took my time with this battle because I was so worried I was going to lose to him. I just kept taking turns hitting him and using my AOE attacks when he summoned one of his weapons. The most annoying one was the bell who he kept sending out. Ann does the most AOE damage and the bell repeled fire damage. But after many turns of attacking, buffing, debuffing and healing, I got him down to his final bits of health. After that he did one final move which thankfully Futaba blocked. After that I went in for the kill and... was that it? Nope!

Mishima, who previously was the most annoying character, saved the damned day. Because of him everyone started cheering for us. This got my hyped as hell. And what got me even more hyped was Joker breaking the chains and summoning his new Persona who I swore was Bahamut at first. One final shot later and the boss went down.

This is where my emotions got fucked up.

Morgana disappearing made me tear up. I kept thinking he was going to sacrifice himself based on a few hints, like him saying "thank you" so many times, and the focus being on him during a few shots.

After he disappeared I met up with Sae Nijima... and Akechi!? No way. I thought he was dead. I was ready to turn myself in until he showed up, and luckily he saved me from doing that.

What a crazy Christmas Eve.

And then my date with Hifumi Togo happened. It was so freaking cute. I wish I knew how to screen shot on my PS5 but here's a video of the date if anyone has never seen it before.

She also gave me some gloves. I need to see if I can equip them.

And then the best part happened. Everyone met up for a Christmas feast and in walks Sojiro with Morgana in his hands. My cat is sleeping in another room right now, but just seeing Morgana really made me want to go and wake him up. Usually he sleeps next to me when I play this game but tonight he didn't.

It's 4AM right now. I need to go to bed because I have work in a few hours. I spent the previous three hours before I played studying so I'm pretty tired.

I forgot how much I love this game. My next event is New Year's where hopefully I get to spend more time with Hifumi. If I can't play tomorrow night, then I will play more on Thursday.

What the hell is going on?

I got through the New Year's party with everyone. Kind of disappointed I didn't get to see Hifumi Togo again. Joker should have spent the new year with her. Yusuke had a really cool scarf. I never wear scarves but if that was real I'd consider buying it. The following day was the shrine visit with Kasumi and everyone in their kimono was cute.

But some weird shit was said. Like Haru mentioning her dad and Ryuji mentioning the track team. Kind of surprised I didn't see Kasumi's sister with her dad. I'm starting to think her dad may be the villain of the next palace but I hope not.

And then I met Futaba's mom in cafe leblanc. I don't know what's happening but I hope she stays. I don't want Futaba being sad over her mom anymore. I also woke up with Morgana being human and in bed with me. Is he my boyfriend? I'm guessing Akechi has something to do with this. I met up with him and Kasumi and we infiltrated the next palace.
