They need 180 Tories to vote to remove him so I doubt anything will happen, would have been better off holding on until after the by-elections.

I can't see how he'll survive till 2024 though. The Tories will be fucked, Starmer will resign, hope Burnham stands for Labour leader and the Tories get wiped out.

This could be both good and bad.

If he does get replaced, it allows for someone far more genuinely evil to take power and to claim "new leader, new party" and get idiots back voting for their demise again.

But I also don't see it passing as Boris still has far too many supporters, especially in the top positions. And even if he does lose the VonC I could see him refusing to step down or even calling an election instead.

We do need to change it, but sadly the Tories have no interest in that since the current one gives them a majority of power with minority votes and Labour hasn't wanted to give up their position in the past either. Hopefully they can change that with Lib Dem persuading in the future though.

Hopefully. I saw in the last election the conservatives got 365 seats with like 14 million votes, but the liberal democrats only got 11 with nearly 4 million. It's like you're allowed to vote for the liberal democrats, but your vote will only count for 1/8th as much.

Because much like Canada and the US there's a huge chunk of the population that will never vote for anyone but a conservative party, and much like Canada and the US said party absolutely dominates rural areas.

Like in the 2019 election over 2/3rds of the people aged 70+ that voted voted Conservative. That is an insane ratio.

It'll never change as both the Conservatives and Labour benefit from FPTP. We had our chance back in 2010 when the Alternative Vote referendum was called but that was a flop.
