I said this back in topic 3, but it bears repeating - Ben is really playing the entire game from a scum perspective. He really should be looking into other people if he was town, yet he isn't even voting anyone to get more information or force them to post more content.

My initial take on sheep/scare was that his early crazy raving that scare was town probably meant scare was actually town.

It would be an odd choice for scum sheep to hard defend scum scare tbh. That really felt more like trying to pocket scare than anything. Scare has not performed well but that interaction made me feel fine with him.

Especially given the epicness of his Ben stance lol

Yes it would be nice if scare did more things but luckily for town sheep made it pretty clear he gets weird defending a buddy so I am fine with putting scare as town for now.

Also if I die at any point I am passing the baton to corrik. He is being very sharp this game about the right things and is thinking through things at a high level when he isn't busy voting me. Don't give him a hard time, he is town and solving well.

In answer to Lea,

Your first question pretty much answered any question of why you were away at the end of the day. I was curious, and being a director reasonable. I know where I work & live our directors basically work 24/7 (or at least it seems that way).

In the second part, I was hoping (if you were/are scum) to catch you off guard with all the other questions being slung towards you and was wondering if you'd give a defense for Ben/in defense of Ben. But you didn't, and that makes me feel better.

Also, since more people are here, I did have a few very dumb questions:

What does the neighborizer & miller do?
What is a bus? I've tried to work it out, but seems to be one of the terms just thrown about.

I agree. I look back on your day one and I don't like the timing of some things but it isn't a slam dunk case. You have a fairly long leash with me if it means anything.

Game of 21 you need people on your side. Also read how he spoke about scare vs Ben. It is hard for me to imagine those two people are the same alignment. I know we don't have Ben's flip yet but yeah

Also if anyone has questions for me please feel free. I have mostly laid out my general thoughts but don't wish to choke the topic with more deep dives.

Looking over the player list I think in terms of strong feelings I am down to red and jc. Red didn't have too much connective tissue with scum and I am not sure their mindset on sheep being a bus until we know more. Corrik point about end day perspective is valid but red is clever. Really just cautious of him atm our of respect for a strong scum player.

Jc hasn't stuck to me even though I know he has posted a bit. Will have to iso him

google mafiascum wiki for neighbor and miller (neighborizer makes neighbors). or i can explain miller easily it's just a town member who scans guilty/scum to cops.

to bus someone refers to a scum member voting for / calling their teammate scum to make themselves look better, essentially. they're deliberately calling out their own scum teammate to establish credibility for themselves

And Lea is a special case since she seemed to focus on other targets first but voted Sheep anyway mostly as a joke.

I also agree with Lea that Abacus is very suspect. The patters posts do not read to me like Ive only played two games here, and for the most part this belief has a high accuracy in catching scum.

Personally I think it's very difficult when accusations, suspicion, and questions are lobbied your way to both effectively defend yourself AND actively work to look into everyone else. My personal opinion on the matter is that you often look worse trying to do both things because you look desperate to move the conversation away from yourself.

The best example I can give of this is from Fire Emblem Awakening mafia when Chris was pressuring me hard on Day 2 with a major point against me being that I couldn't come up with any real scum reads. But in reality I was just so focused on attempting to defend myself that I really didn't have enough space to even think about the rest of the game.

My new mission as a player is to eliminate situations where people are called scum no matter what action they would take. If Ben started scum-hunting here or "voting people to get information", would that not be seen as attempting to dodge the suspicion or pass the blame?

I mean I think he's probably still scum but not because he's focused on defending himself today

I haven't had any time for much of anything else and my town list would be reiterating things Chris has already said. I still don't believe you actually believe I'm scum because it sounds like you just had to skim the day to actually find a good reason. Guess you thought nothing of the content where I defended myself?
