They updated my results again and they refuse to acknowledge anything but the white part of me. I live in the southern USA and its notorious for Blacks and whites mixing historically (often by white slave masters raping but I digress).

then there is the same situation but in Europe with the jewish population.

both my parents say I have Native American blood and I tan well when I go outside.

It cant alter them, the past is permanent

I get even tanner than this but dont have many pictures of me tanned. I dont go outside much but there is no way I am white only.

I'd say wearing a cross necklace hides your Jewish heritage better than any DNA result, but that's just me.

Remember that they are constantly updating what those markers mean. Perhaps their original assessment found that their was a trend toward being black in your genetics when you come from that area, but in later assessments found that other markers are needed for that trend to carry and dropped the association on you.

Their data is constantly being updated with new people taking the test, so their results are going to get progressively more nuanced.

There's also the chance some guy sued for their heritage being called in to question against their own records, Ancestry couldn't back their claim sufficiently to have the case thrown out, so they settled out of court and tightened up the boundaries for claiming certain backgrounds.

No. My racist grandmother went through it while acting all giddily vocal and then went dead silent after getting the results. Unsurprising, because when my father went through it, he found ancestry from South American indigenous people.

You're just neither black (lulz that because you live in the South, you think you must be) nor Native American but both your parents are liars.

Having a star of David doesn't make you Jewish, converting to Judaism will.

I think they just make it up. For example, identical twins getting different results.
