Nearly all of these are the worst in their families. I'm gonna give a pity vote for the one Pokemon brave enough to feature a color other than blue.

Yeah, only Palpitoad for sure isn't but that's just not a very great line.

I like Palps, Poliwhirl and Sealeo but I voted for Seadra

Seadra does the "DEW DEEEW" voice in the anime, right?

Also, Seadra's highest base stats are in Defence and Sp. Attack (both tied at 95; Kingdra wouldn't improve on these stats) and I think that's cool.

Seadra used to be fully evolved and it definitely looked like a badass (still kind of does).

Seadra > Kingdra... Poliwhirl & Lombre aren't too far behind their lines.

I like Sealeo a LOT

But Seadra is top tier Pokemon design. What a good lad.

Palpitoad is endearing in how ugly it is.

In Gen 1, Seadra's Sp. Def was also 95, and the speed was the same, so Kingdra is just Gen 1 Seadra with part Dragon, +20 HP, and +30 Attack, which is a pretty bad evolution.

I've always thought Seadra was kinda cute which is enough to win today

I liked seadra a good bit back when there were few pokemon but it's definitely one of those that gets forgotten about over time

Wasn't expecting Seadra to do so well here, I've always considered it a kinda forgotten Pokemon, but I think it's pretty cool. Poli is also really great, but I feel that way about the entire line.

The others are there.

Seadra benefits from the fact it was originally a final evo, so it wasn't designed with the animorphs approach of most mid-evos

Seadra is cool but I like Poliwhirl just a little more. The rest I don't care much for

Poliwhirl > Seadra > Sealeo > Lombre > Palpitoad

First 2 are top tier. Always liked Poliwhirl better than thr rrst of it's evo line.

It's weird to be voting Seadra when I'm pretty sure its line is the one I forget the most while doing the Gen I Sporcle quiz. It really is a cool design, but kind of tucked away in the original games (...as are most of the fishing rod Pokemon, but I feel like Horsea in particular appears well after I would have already built a team).

Of course, I never forget Kingdra when tackling Gen II, if only because of its status as the only Gen II dragon type/presence as the final gym leader's signature Pokemon. Seadra jumped from hard to find to overshadowed in a single generation, which is a shame.
