Live letter going now. 6.2 is title Buried Memories, coming in late August.

Next stage of Tatarus Grand Endeavor will require having finished the HW alliance raid.

Hildi slated for 6.25. Nashu shown on the moon.

New weapon enhancement quests in 6.25 unlocked through the Hildi quests, to acquire the legendary Manderville weapons! Quest-centric progression and continuing through the rest of 6.x.

Also in 6.25, new tribal quests, this time the Omicrons. Designated for disciples of the land. Shows that cafe in Ultima Thule that everyone was expecting to be used for one of the tribes.

6.2 dungeon name: The Fell Court of Troia. Screenshot definitely looks to be in the Void.

New trials mentioned but not named.

Next level of Pandaemoniun is called Abyssos. I think we knew that already? Savage one week later.

New Unreal trial is Containment Bay S1T7, AKA Sephirot the Fiend.

Extensive adjustments to the dragoon and astrologian jobs have been postponed and as a DRG main I wonder just how extensive thats going to be.

Critical and Direct Hit adjustments are being planned for times when buffs/debuffs/attributes related to them dont work right, more info next time.

Rival Wings returning alongside season 3 of Crystalline Conflict.

Duty Support for Snowcloak, Keeper of the Lake, Sohn Al, The Aery, and The Vault. Party with Alphinaud, Estinien, and Ysale shown.

Steps of Faith being converted to a solo battle. Thornmarch being revamped.

Variant Dungeons coming in 6.25. Name change from Ceiterion Dungeons. Described as casual level 90 content that adjust difficulty based on how many people you bring and has different versions of the story depending on what you do. No role restrictions, plus you can change jobs mid-dungeon. First one is called The Sildihn Subterrane

Criterion Dungeons are now the high-difficulty versions of the Variant, and theres even a savage version on top of that. Standard 4-player role requirements in place for these. Normal resurrections are prohibited, instead each player has a limited number of revival actions. No matchmaking for Savage, nor is there any resurrection. Enemies in Savage respawn after wipe and have an enrage timer.

Thought they were done with 6.2 stuff but it was just a music video break. Island Sanctuary stuff!

Overview: Build your own personal island sanctuary! Casual solo stuff: Material gathering, creature care, building facilities, item crafting, etc. No DoL/H experience needed. Shows a beach on an island, with most of the island blurred out

Activities: Gather materials from nature, craft tools from those materials, this sounds a whole lot like what I already do with regular DoH/L stuff. Materials have their own inventory though so thats nice.

Crop growing, different from estate crops. Collect and care for various creatures. Keep an eye out for shinies - I mean - rare colorings.

Build a base of operations and customize its appearance plus build new tools. Minions can wander freely in the base.

Assemble collected material into handicrafts and export them. Try to align exports with market demand for the best possible results! Island-specific currency. Not gil. And apparently not affected by other players.

Portrait changes incoming. Seems you now have portraits for specific gear sets and one for your adventurer plate. All current portraits will be lost on the release of the new version. Editing of the plate portrait can be done from that interface. Gear set list will be displayed on the portrait interface to facilitate making a portrait for each set.

Further additions:
Instant portraits will be used for Doman mahjong. New poses. New decorative features. Copying pose/camera settings will be supported.

New Allagan tomestone: Causality. New crafted gear, expected. Will be able to request repairs from other players, both in and out of duties. Ability list will now show the combo sequence.

Glam dresser expansion to 800 items.

Return to Ivalice quests being reordered. With Makin Bacon (Bread) and Wok On By becoming unavailable. I dont remember the specifics of that quest line enough to know which those are off the top of my head but they sound like some of the more boring in-between stuff.

And now more Primals video. This is where Ill have to stop, as I have some things to do outside the house this morning.

4-player midcore/hardcore content has been my absolute #1 desire for the game

just really frustrating how your only options if you want to play the game (i.e. do battle content) is either a) super casual stuff where you can't possibly die, no challenge, or b) hardcore fights where you have to remember a bunch of strats and positions because a single mistake can wipe the group, and are best done with a scheduled static

no in-between for when you want to hop on and do some stuff that challenges you but doesn't require that you read a guide first and find 7 other prepared players

ex trials and PFing floor 1 or 2 of savage does fit that, especially the ex trials but this should be even better, and be easier to get into

I really liked how seals worked in ShB. The way they are now is fine, I guess, since it's more of a "if you happen to get three seals, awesome, but it's no big deal if you don't". But fishing for three seals with smart usage of Redraws and Minor Arcana was a fun minigame that made old content/easy content more enjoyable.

I only have AST at Lv. 70. How bad is the button bloat now at 90?

returning player who's never gotten passed ARR, recently back in the last 1.5 months, since hitting Ultima Weapon main story quest I've sidetracked to 50ing all ARR jobs

everything but tanks remaining, so my first few dungeons with the role but oh god what a rush I just had

only healer died to blue/violet with >20% remaining, me being n00btank I didn't think we'd pull through, then 10-5% both DPS died immediately after LB I called for leaving the last 5% solo and wew just barely snagged it in the panic aww yeahhhh

Now that the Thousand Maws doesn't have the endless goop hallway, Cutter's Cry is probably the second most stressful MSQ dungeon from ARR (first being Aurum Vale, which honestly isn't that difficult once the first room is handled, but the extra packs usually cause a wipe very early and the dungeon drags after that.)

My first experience with that boss ended up with the Red Mage soloing it near the end. From that day on, I was convinced to eventually pick up Red Mage lol

Dzemael Darkhold hasn't changed much. The room after the first boss with the toads and huge packs of monsters was changed to be more linear, I believe. It was super easy to go the wrong way otherwise.

But yeah, Dzemael is definitely one of the worst dungeons in ARR even after the rework. If you know what you're doing, it's not bad, but the crystals (both protective and exploding ones) and the countdown timers are all annoying to deal with.

Aurum Vale was never that bad after the first room, especially after AoE telegraphs were added to Coincounter. Though not knowing how to dispel the debuff by eating fruit definitely makes the first experience rough. Maybe I'm just biased because I've repeatedly ran that dungeon as a Blue Mage lol

Cutter's Cry really only has the Chimera as a toughie. The other bosses can be brute forced IIRC, though the worm hurts a lot if you get hit by its tunneling attack.

The worm can be surprisingly lethal if your healer doesn't know to Esuna the dot.

And I'm still a little upset they added telegraphs to Coincounter. That boss was a rite of passage - it's the first time new players are confronted with AoEs that require you to read the boss's animations, rather than just look for colored shapes on the ground.

lol I remember watching MTQcapture guide for Aurum before going and it talked about a buncha untelegraphed attacks so I was worried but then I go in and everything's lit up and I'm just confused but hey okay

just lemme get my 50s so i can dress up as each class aww yeah

Going through these ARR dungeons now and there hasn't been much to worry about. Qarn got Mr. Doom Panels and I also find that not everyone can tell what's skippable (namely the two fruits). Also the case in Cutter's Cry where not everyone's aware of the two sections you can run passed so teams default to the assumption of no. Sometimes yeah not getting Esuna'd on the worm gets noticeable and blue/violet does manage to take people now and then, myself included.

The dragon castle is pleasant, although I did have a bizarre run where the healer hung out in front of the dragon that backs into the wall and breathes fire... he got scorched to death.

Dzemael's been getting frustrating now that I did some tankings, enemies are kinda all over twisted around nooks or sections of exploding crystal that allies struggle to follow behind. This is where I actually started to get hit with the reminder I very much am a n00btank despite earlier success lol.

Aurum's fine though, yeah I've had runs no matter the role where there's been some rough pulls in the first section the party dies to but it's not so bad, then after that yeah I've had some people that don't eat the fruits.

Paladin 50'd now all that's left is Warrior then I can finally go ahead with beating ARR~

It's an old guide and they changed it some time ago

Honestly kind of wish they didn't, untelegraphed attacks are definitely a thing later on and it was a good introduction to them imo

I finally did it y'all

I am now the Endwalker

Great expansion. Easily my favorite right behind Shadowbringers. I really liked the messages of hope and the meaning of life spread throughout the expansion. A lot of the plot-relevant stuff went over my head, especially in the last area, but the journey was fun regardless. Elpis and Garlemald were my favorite arcs in the story.

i honestly am not sure i've ever done a run of cutter's cry where half the party or more didn't get hit with blue/violet multiple times. and i always type in chat "blue = get out, violet = get in" before the fight.

dzemael and aurum vale are basically as hard as its gonna get, dzemael honestly harder if you try to do big pulls on the cliffside area, it might be the hardest place to bigpull in the game honestly.

dungeons get streamlined after ARR so there won't be anything else like that.
