Congrats! UWU gets a bad rap as the easiest of the Ultimates but it's still a significant accomplishment. My very first Ultimate weapon was the UWU axe and it holds a special place in my heart because of it.

Finished up all the coils of bahamut stuff including the savage version of turn 9 just to get the trophy associated with it

thanks all the level 90s who helped me out XD

now I can just pretty much mainline the remaining MSQ in the patch quests only stopping in 2.4 to finish up my relic weapon once I unlock Snowcloak.

That scene with the talos and Mt. Gulg reminded me of the cutscene at the beginning of disc 4 in FF 9, with all the silver dragons (the sin eaters being the dragons in this sense).

Beat Mt Gulg, and then the trial afterwards. That was a fun fight. Haven't watched all the cutscenes after, as didn't have time last night and it told me that a bunch would play in sequence, so that's what I'll be doing after work!

Honestly, on release there's a case that UWU was pretty similar difficulty to TEA on its release. TEA has the harder early phases, but UWU arguably has the harder late phases.

Being a level 70 instance instead of level 80 instance means it has been subject to whatever scaling is going on at level 70 right now, though. (I don't actually think I've run UWU since Endwalker, so I'm not sure how it looks after the stat squish).

Can someone tell me how close am I to being "done" with ARR?

I just rescued Minfilia and the other scions in Mor Dhona

I know there's like "post-game" quests or something that you need to do before you can access the expansions, so please include that in your hour estimate

if you're mainlining maybe less than 2-3 hours left of the base game

the post game is basically just as long as the main game

Done entirely with ARR including patch quests? You've still got a decently long way to go. There are 80 quests between the end of base ARR and the start of Heavensward. I'd say like 20 hours at least if you just mainline the story and nothing else?

You're right at the end of base ARR though. Maybe 3 hours there.

Man it's like 50 MINIMUM lol.

Some of that is actual good though.

It definitely does not take more than 5 hours to do each individual patch's story content on average.

Though I guess I wasn't considering that Crystal Tower is required now which probably tacks on quite a bit by itself. That's pretty lengthy.

50 is still a very extreme highball though. I'd say 30-35.

Made it to what I think is the last dungeon of Shadowbringers (mainly because the quest name is "Shadowbringers"), with I assume a trial afterwards. Been a pretty wild ride so far! Will do this tomorrow as I'm completely exhausted.

I will probably only have time to finish up 2.3 - Defenders of Eorzea when I get home this morning

Kuno acquired! Just three more fish (Helicoprion, Shonisaurus, and Nepto Dragon) and Im done with this quest.

Maybe the Stockholm syndrome will get you too by the end and youll end up going for more big fish...!

Shadowbringers beaten.

That was a pretty crazy final battle. I figured a transformation of some kind was coming, but Hades was a bit of a surprise!

Damn, only two of the three needed for Nepto insight and three failed !!! during Helis window (which could also have been the wrong fish; had that happen there once already). Oh well, off to start Crystarium deliveries until Neppy opens up in a few hours.

Picking up some of the post-ShB side quests. Man, that FF8 overworld music was recognized instantly. Though I really need to go back and still do Alexander and Omega, this was one of my favourite FFs. Temptation is high.

I still haven't done any of the ShB raids. Should probably fix that soon.

Congrats on finishing the ARR Relic! It's definitely a long slog, but the glam is totally worth it. The PLD weapon looks especially nice!

Anyway I should be able to finish the ARR post game this weekend because I literally have no side quests left at this point other than what pops up from doing the remaining MSQ

"Several Cutscenes Will Play In Sequence" approaching.

Oh yeah, when the game warns you about setting aside enough time to watch all the cutscenes, they aren't kidding. Go make a sandwich and budget about an hour to watch. It's all very important plot setting up Heavensward.

Managed to squeeze in a few minutes of fishing today and it paid off with Helicoprion. Probably no time to hunt Nepto Dragon today but hopefully I can manage it during work next week.

(also hit 90 on fisher yesterday and cleared out the guild quests and delivery stories)

Nice; having the max GP regen (and some of the higher level skills) help so much with hunting rare fish.

Yeah Identical Cast into Double Hook is the obvious one for Neppys Intuition but Im looking forward to trying out some of these other things Ive picked up once Ive done that.

also would like to get a new spearfishing item in the game at some point because seeing my fisher ilevel so much lower than the other gatherers is bugging me.

Unfortunately that gig is never upgraded; you just have a crappy item in that slot forever :(

They promised a new gig for Endwalker but we ain't got that shit yet.

So what's the level 80 BLM rotation? I'm going to try and grind it up in Bozja and I don't know where to fit Despair and Xenoglossy in, and am at the point of button bloat.

EDIT: that won't immediately kill my bar if I get rouletted into 35-70 content*

Reaper, Sage, Dancer, Gunbreaker, Blue Mage, right?

And then Astro/Dark Knight/Machinist on entering Heavensward proper.

SHINE needs a lvl 60 job first before he can unlock Gunbreaker/Dancer.

Hes already playing as a Red Mage, so he should have Samurai available.
