I did that years ago. Also did 5 days. Day 2 is the toughest. Days 4 and 5 were actually very easy because you start to feel loopy in a way that is almost euphoric.

I remember someone tried recently and failed. I just need to a general reset in my body that this fast should provide.

I have heard day 2 to 3 is the toughest though and is a testament of will at that point.

It's debatable if the fake sugar tricks the body into thinking it should react. It seems some people absorb fake sugar and some don't. They aren't entirely sure why.

I eat once a day normally so I almost always do 24 hours on the reg. If I ever start a diet I do 2 or 3 because it shrinks your stomach and then eating less feels so much more filling. 5 is more than usual, but it really shouldn't be too difficult. There is a lot of research that points to fasting that long being very good for the body. I'll try it out I suppose.

Working days is no issue if you figure you work 8 hours and sleep 8 hours. It's the days you are off that you get bored that get dicey.

After 1 day, all good. Stomach grumbled some around 20 hours. Stomach feels like someone is pressing in on it, but no issues. All good.

Slept pretty good today. Almost 48 hours done. Headache went from strong to barely in the background now. That's usually how caffeine withdrawal headaches work based on my past experience. Tomorrow will likely be strong urging to eat. Then it should subside completely and be all gravy from there.

Headache completely subsided. I slept a ton today. As someone who had been suffering from insomnia lately, I cannot stress how good I feel right now compared to before just from the sleep.

True. It is just debatable if it breaks a fast or not which is why I was thinking about it. Getting a dinner with my child after his baseball game Friday evening would have been convenient.

ending day 2.

Hunger pains are on and off

and I find myself day dreaming about food lol.

I like eating so I miss the ACT of it more than my body "requiring" it if that makes any sense. I just want to eat to eat, not to get rid of any hunger

the only thing I take are vitamins and my meds of course

I've eaten like crap the past few weeks so thats mostly why I wanted to do this. I've never done this before so I might end on day 3

The hunger goes away after day 2-3. The biggest worry is dehydration and not hunger (unless you are skinny. If skinny just stop at 3).

I haven't really had much hunger at all honestly. Some stomach growling but that's about it.

The biggest test was Tuesday when I made my son chicken nuggets and he had 2 left. I hate to waste and normally would have just finished it for him, but I had to hold strong there and just resort to tossing them.

I stopped nicotine, caffeine, and food all at once. So the headaches are most likely from caffeine. I have zero addiction to nicotine and mostly just vape for the fun of blowing smoke and flavors (sometimes with 0% nicotine) I'll probably stop that altogether soon anyways.

But, again, the biggest risk is dehydration. Unless taking like salt water or having reserves, your electrolytes will fall and you will drain of water. I personally can feel my muscles feeling tighter which probably says that I am getting dehydrated and at risk of cramping soon, but I am drinking a good bit of water. So I should be okay.

For you though, I'd recommend being careful and if you feel like it is time to stop, you stop.

I drink so rarely now it's silly. I have alcohol sitting in my fridge from 2 superbowls ago because I have no need to drink and don't without company (should give you an idea on how much I have company anymore).

I have a vape sitting on my shelf right now I haven't touched since Sunday. I could switch the nicotine to 0 tomorrow and not care at all. That's not addiction.

An addict can't help themself.

Things to watch out for: Day 2 can be very uncomfortable for the many since around 48 to 72 hours the carbohydrates burn from the body and it feels not so great for many; drink your water anytime your feel poorly.
