I was very happy to catch a shiny Gliscor in Legends before they patched out the main shiny hunting method.

Braviary pretty easily

Most of these are good, but Honchkrow is amazing.

Gliscor > Braviary > Noivern > Honchkrow > Xatu > Dodrio > Altaria > Mandibuzz > Swoobat > Swanna

Nothing outstanding, but a lot that are pretty good.

Swoobat has my favorite ability in the game and is fun to use.
Swanna's pose in its artwork has always been funny.
Mandibuzz is pretty cool looking.
I never really liked Braviary but it earned a nice niche in Restricted Sparring so I respect it.
Xatu has the famous cry.

Only bad ones are Honchkrow (worst of this bunch by far) followed by Noivern.

Honchkrow for the same reasons

Honchkrow is my namesake and my #1 favourite Pokemon!

Honchkrow is one of my favourite Pokemon. I like everything on this list that isn't Swoobat and Mandibuzz (Swanna as well to a lesser extent).

Braviary is my favorite PokeBirb. Dude has an awesome design.

I really like Dodrio (it was one of my mainstays in RBY/FRLG, before I started trying to use different Pokemon every run), but... Honchkrow.

Damn these are all great (except maybe Mandibuzz), birds offer a lot of variety. Had to go with Noivern since he needs more support.

I still like the 3 headed bird but Braviary is real great.

I remember really liking Braviary's design and wanting to try it out but it evolves at like level 50 something and that just sucks so much.

I remember having hell trying to evolve it for dex purposes too. It evolves wayyyyyy too late.

I hate when regular evos can't reasonably be gotten til endgame. I didn't play gen 5 but I believe that introduced a lot of absurdly late evos.

I think Honnchkrow and Gliscor are my favorites here for sure, but I also really like Mandibuzz. So I gave it a vote instead since I figured Honchkrow and Gliscor would have plenty already.

I'm just happy Swoobat isn't at 0.

Gen V redid the EXP system, so they had to adjust things accordingly. The problem with Vullaby and Rufflet is that they're not even obtainable until endgame anyway. And then the late evolutions became an onus because they tweaked the EXP system AGAIN in Gen VI. It's probably even worse now with the forced EXP sharing making it so you get less of it per Pokemon.

I think Rufflet and Vullaby should have been available significantly earlier. There's absolutely no reason to have them be confined to the area where you get the 8th badge. Nobody's gonna use them. They already have their desired team.

I think the deal with Rufflet and Vullaby's late evolutions was so you wouldn't catch them and they'd evolve once you leveled them up once, like what could potentially happen with Natu in GSC (evolves at 25, can be caught at 24). But I think Game Freak realized what a mistake that was, since we've gotten stuff like Bergmite and Jangmo-o later that could be caught at or above their evolution levels since then.

Hm, maybe now that they're open to changing the evolution requirements for annoying pokemon, they'll change levels to be more reasonable to that gen's system? Maybe not.
