The ~~cheesy "friendship" moment~~ near the climax was really well-done and reminded me of the games. You can really buy that the three of them care for each other. The one scene of ~~the three of them splitting off in different directions to fight Robotnik and watching the blue, orange, and red streaks zooming down the streets~~ just gave me chills; reminded me of my 90's self.
