It's Cyndaquil v Tepig for me, both are great. I like Char, and I've weirdly come around on Scorbunny despite hating it when it was first revealed. The rest are eh. whoops I missed fully evolved grass-types, sorry chesnaught (although decidueye is top tier) here I've got love for Cyndaquil but it's hard to beat the OG love in Charmander specifically... doesn't help that I favoured Totodile anyways. --- I request affiliated many pipes. Like the first stage Grass starters, I honestly think they're all great. Still, I usually never pick the Fire starters. There's always a Water or Grass one I prefer in each generation. Fire is kinda the opposite of grass, starter-wise. It starts good and ends bad. Cyndaquil is my second favorite starter (unfortunately, Totodile is first) so easy choice today but there are some good options here.
