None of that happened at my school >_> Someone at a friend's high school dropped out when she found out and wanted to keep it.

I went to high school in Mississippi. I can't remember if we were number 1 or number 2 in teenage pregnancy at the time. But needless to say, yes. Quite a few girls had babies. I think the earliest one was either 8 or 9th grade.

Not that I ever heard of. Given that it was a small private school with more guys than girls (military school), pretty sure that would've been big news

Yeah, it happened often in my high school actually. I think the majority kept them.

None in any of the three high schools that I went to.

There was a rumor that one girl got pregnant during our junior year and I never saw her again after that so maybe she dropped out

A few in year 11. One in year 10 and one in year 9. About half of them within two years of leaving.

I've no idea.

I saw a couple girls that were pregnant. I didn't know any of them personally, though.

Also, one of the girls I knew was soooo adamant on "not being like that" and considered herself to be "above that", but then she got pregnant in senior year. >_>

In junior high (8th and 9th grade there), we didn't have a dedicated class, but we had a speaker come like once a year to go over stuff in the span of 1 class. Maybe middle school too (6th and 7th). Clearly that wasn't enough. It was definitely a poorer area though. The schools had gang violence. I remember some days, you'd see a bunch of kids walking home from school in a large group. That meant a gang fight was gonna happen. I remember the police came after one of them, and everyone took off running. I ran too with a friend who lived right next to the street but we both stopped and she said they couldn't do anything to us.

Not only did a see a couple going to middle school and highschool in south carolina circa 1996-2001 but one of the girls was one that used to attend the church I went to growing up. She was pregnant in 8th grade if I remember right. Never saw her in highschool so I'm assuming she dropped out. (Despite seeing her every now and then at church I didn't really talk to her or her family like that. Actually after she became pregnant I never saw that family at the church ever again).

A couple. Frankly a surprisingly low number for my school.

A friend of mine did in 7th grade

She was related (not immediate family) and had the baby. I was kind of unsurprised, knowing her. She blamed like 5 dudes for it lol.

No, it was a baptist-run private school. The closest thing I remember was being in the assistant principal's office to help with something once and when he was out of the room for a couple minutes I noticed a confidential memo on the top of his desk about two classmates in the grade level below mine who were being expelled for the heinous crime of having sex with each other.

Seriously, it's a miracle I was able to put up with that hellhole for four years.

Shoot... I graduated over 25 years ago and my high school had a daycare for students' kids.

A girl in my sophomore Wellness class found out. I remember being in the gym, and she was sitting there smiling and glowing, and the teachers were running around freaking out. Me and my friends were like "why are they losing their minds over it?"

Turns out she got pregnant from the firefighter who came to the school to do fire safety seminars. He was in his late 20s

Yeah, we had 3 total. Only one girl dropped out, but she was really dumb and most likely would not have graduated anyway. The other two graduated and most didn't know they were pregnant.

Yes. One of them sat next to me in AP World History since the teacher made us sit in alphabetical order and she was the name right after me. Had the kid towards the end of the year and idk if she dropped out but she wasn't there for the final quarter of school or so and didn't see her at graduation. She was a nice person from what I could tell

Two girls that I remember in 11th grade. They had their kids, didn't drop out, and seemed to actually balance school and parenting fairly well, considering the circumstances.

I also remember a girl who got pregnant in middle school, in 7th grade. She did eventually drop out after she had her kid. But while she was pregnant, she was mercilessly mocked by our science teacher, who was a real bitch and an extremely bitter woman. The older I get, the more scummy that science teacher becomes in my memory. A complete lack of empathy, and a total failure as an adult role model for the students in the school.

pretty sure one of my buddies in middle school got his gf pregnant. pretty sure it was aborted tho. never really talked with him about it. we were really good friends in elementary, but kinda fell off in middle school

I got my girlfriend pregnant in high school. We initially planned to get an abortion but before it could happen her parents found out she was pregnant and convinced her to keep it.

She ended up graduating but transferred to an alternative school that had a program called TEAM (Teen Education And Motherhood).

I was together with the mother of my daughter until she was 5.

I don't see my daughter very often these days but we're still in contact.

Yes, she was 16 I think, I met her baby once, very cute. Crazy to think that kid is over 10 now.

No one I knew, but someone that one of my stepsisters knew did. She wasn't in high school yet at the time though.
