If you are craving the heat, what is it you normally get to satisfy the craving?

Personally I like a spicy chicken sandwich covered in spicy breading and house made hot sauce and drowned in ranch.

I am not a fan of spicy noodles or ramen.

Tomato paste? Yeah but only sparingly as that's much too spicy for me usually

It's difficult to find something spicy enough for me. Ghost peppers are like ketchup to me.
So I make concoctions out of various things. Even a very basic one is ghost Pepper + crushed chilli's. Mix with ketchup in a container. Fill with vinegar, use flour to thicken into a dip. Makes a great dip. For fries, chicken wings, etc. A nice subtle amount of heat that's not too overwhelming.
For when I want to actually burn, I've got a few California Reaper sauces around.
And some of the engineered shit that's pretty much pure burn. Those can hurt.

I did do one of those bitter tests. Turns out I don't taste bitter things. Seems to make me immune to spicy sorta.
Also means I taste spicy food differently. A spicy Thai is almost sweet to me. So delicious.

It's between yellow coconut curry and kung pao tofu, with plenty of chili pepper in them. Delicious, and the peppers or flakes really enhance the experience without becoming the experience.

I dont ever crave spicy. Im not much of a fan. So, for me, its usually something not too spicy. I can do some spicy stuff like certain chicken, but it has to be paired with something Or spicy breakfast sausage. But not too spice. Moore like a kick of spice or something. One of those is probably my favorite

After a serious gastrointestinal infection last year, I can't digest spicy food anymore.

However, back in my university days, there was an Asian restaurant that made a type of pho that they literally just called "spicy beef noodle soup" that was hot as hell but also very delicious. I swear it could cure a cold.

Hmm... probably a curry or maybe spicy broccoli peanut noodles? I'm not a huge spice fan, but a little is good. I just don't like it when it starts overpowering everything else in the dish.

I love horseradish. I don't like most peppers since they have grassy notes to me. I don't mind some of the red peppers since they mostly lack it.

Yeah I love horseradish, worcestershire sauce, wasabi...that sort of spicy. Can't do peppers of any kind.

My all time favorite steak sauce is sour cream with a LOT of fresh ground horseradish and a shallot minced up. mix and let set in fridge over night. So very good.

Pad Thai, beef, either rice or noodles (Panda Express, though I haven't been able to get any since I moved back East, because I would have to drive at least an hour to get to the nearest one)

Spicy Big Mary (chicken sandwich from Mary Brown's)

Jamaican Beef Patties (especially if you can get them from one of the Jamaican suppliers in Toronto)

Samosas (especially if they are made by hand with love by an Indian grandmother)

Straight up fresh Jalapeo (seed pod and all)

I do prefer my spicy food on the mild side though, enough to leave an aftertaste but not enough to need milk and yogurt. I do also eat it with chocolate milk, unless strawberries are in season, then I can get fresh strawberry milk from a local farm. (though I think it's become popular enough that they are selling it year round)

It's the climate, results in a short growing season. Also it's a local farm that used to only do it when strawberries were in season; I don't know if they have a local hothouse supplier or if they broke down and started importing them from points south, but for this farm it's a new development.

How did it take this long for Chili. It's THE hot/spicey food imo.

Chili is my top pick, but love some good wings, spicy Mexican food, pizza with hot sauce, or gyro meat and pita with hot sauce.

Guys, not trying to be a party pooper, but be careful with spicy food too. Ulcers can be serious and doctors aren't just gonna know and hold your hand through it. People have died and once they get them, and they can haunt you for months and months. As some of you get older, just make sure you are taking your meds and spicy food on full stomachs or with substantial meals. Especially if you're developing IBS or regular diarrhea.

You start getting constant stomach pain that isn't going away, report it to your doc's nurse immediately and get a cheaper abscan set up. And document every otc meds and Rx meds exactly as you take them. Aspirin, anything. They need to know exactly what you're putting into your body.

Remember this, ok? Might save your life.

Mine is chili and, on occasion, Wendy's spicy chicken nuggs (Burger King's were too spicy; not fond of McD's for chicken) or nachos with salsa con queso (medium or lower heat) or just plain salsa. Usually though it ends up being chili with milk as a chaser to take away the hotness of the chili. Rarely I'll eat nachos with jalapeno slices but that's maybe once every six months or something like that.
