But I hate it when they skip stuff. Like dialogue. Seems weird to skip dialogue in a visual novel Though, I hate skipped dialogue in. A lot of other games?

What about you guy? Do you hate skipped dialogue? Or is there something else you hate that other people do when watching play throughs

Depends on what you mean by skipping. For Danganronpa id be fine if they didnt go out of their way to talk to every character at every point that the dialogue might have shifted but it would bug me if they were skipping through the main story dialogue.

I can understand hating a scene enough to start skipping it though. Ive only ever done so for Tales of Berseria myself but to each their own if they didnt like something in Dangobongo.

If for a game thats primarily about gameplay i wouldnt generally care though.

I could never get into Daganronpa. Something about the story doesn't interest me. The whole "Escape Room" genre doesn't interest me. Don't understand why people like it.

Yet O like the Atelier series which is basically a Slice of Life VN JRPG series.

Eh Its not for everyone. I like the whole mystery of why they are stuck there. But its different the Escape Room. Its closer to Phoenix Wright. Its basically a murder mystery game

Danganronpa is not escape room genre. Except for one puzzle in the second game.

Ive been watching game grumps play through and I think I prefer them plowing through the main story and skipping the side stuff. The games are long as fuck as it is and this is my first time with the series so Im mostly interested in figuring out the trials where the story is headed.

I guess. I personally think the side stuff is pretty interesting, tbh But its not only the side stuff the one person Im watching is playing. She just sometimes skips what somebody is saying during the trials just because she doesnt like them and stuff That said, I am the type to talk to like everyone, so Idk. I liked filling out everyones report card, though. Especially since that how you get skills and skill points in the first one, and how you get the currency to buy skills in the second and third one. And in those, you have to level up to have more skills points. Which you do by doing almost anything, including walking/running And the games can be long. Ive put hundreds of hours into the games

I'll probably buy the trilogy but I don't think I'll play 3.

Im playing 3 right now. I already went through the other two. Getting some report cards done. Also, gonna go to the casino and make bank.

I meant because of trial. I don't know how far you are.

Oh. Well, I beat the game in PC. But Im on Chapter 4 right now. I replayed a couple trials. And replayed the free time for a couple chapters multiple times. Had to play Chapter 1 like 7 and a half times. And played the others like 3 or 4 times

Yeah that's the reason why I don't think I would play the game. That was just bad writing.

There are a bunch of weird things, sometimes. Normally, its usually during the third case of each game where the plot holes are

It wasn't a plot hole. Just bad writing. Like nobody even attempted to make the claim that Kokichi couldn't have been touched due to the length of an average toilet paper roll.

I remember watching someone go through the entirety of Ultra Despair Girls and that got progressively more agitated, especially near the end.

Thats not what I was talking about. I dont think there are any plot holes in 4. As for being touched, I cant really say. Not sure how long the toilet paper was in the game. But he probably couldnt strangle her. Even if he can strangle her from far away, she could still move closer to him. Just not away. And all it takes it one touch, and hes be frozen. And Gonta wouldnt be able to remember anything even if he saw.

Some of those kids had bad family lives Loke really bad. I still have to finish that one. But I have to do it on PC. I could do Playstation, but Im already part way done on PC

been watching the grumps playthrough of 2 and being reminded of why i stopped watching gamegrumps. arin fucking sucks. >_>

Apparently, you may be the only person who feels this way. Many people arent enjoying their play through at all Some of the reasons are people like the side stuff, Arin doesnt seem interested (though apparently Dan is), and they are using a guide to get through everything or something

i mean, yeah. i feel like there's gotta be something really special about a game for me to play it if you're gonna go that route with it, but even then i'm probably gonna get bored. i liked phoenix wright, but i still couldn't finish it. i feel the same about danganronpa, except it's way more flawed. the story's kinda fun, though, and it's fun seeing dan get into it.

I dont mind much. Personally, Ive already completed Danganronpa many times over. Hundreds of hours in all of them. Im even playing V3 right now. Was getting some casino coins, but back to the story for now.

like, i'm pretty sure literally around half of the doki doki community haven't actually played the game themselves but just watched some cringe streamer play it on youtube or twitch, ruining the psychological horror aspect in the process, then it underperforms in game polls/contests and people wonder why

I wasn't planning on playing the games and then immediately added them to my Steam wishlist after watching them. I still missed a lot of content due to side stuff being skipped so I could see that stuff myself.

They skip showing the casino stuff or vending machine stuff.

No the girl playing the game is acting like she doesnt want to play. She seems to not be happy that she has to answers questions she knows the answer to already. And is mad that the other students dont know. But the thing is, they dont have all the clues like she does. Nor did they have the whole weekend to think and put a case together. Its just kind of weird. And she doesnt seem to want to play the parts of the game where she had to answer things she already knows But it would make no sense to just jump to only what you know

I mean that seems reasonable. I quit the game around the first case where you had to do that as well.
I just didn't like the whole questioning thing. Probably a good thing I never played the Ace Attorney series either.

But its really not reasonable, though. Thats how cases work. And unlike you, she likes both the Ace Attorney series and this one. Also, how would a game be fun if youre just throwing around random evidence without an actual case and story In those games, you go along with the story, and use evidence to prove your side. It would be different if you were playing Clue. But its not Clue, so

That's the exact reason why it wasn't on my wishlist. I thought they were just visual novels before watching the playthrough.

He did but not his friend who is actually playing. They voice all the characters too.

Most done with the play through Ive been watching. One more episode, I think. Should be on Tuesday. Ill be so glad when Im done

I dont mind it. And it does kind of make sense. Plus, there was always a chance part of it was a big lie I just have to finish because I watched the rest of her play throughs But the skipping stuff is kind of annoying (like parts of the conversation because she doesnt like the characters, or when she gets too focused)
