Actually I've already done most of the available ones. I might go and do the battle square stuff to get Cloud's final limit break, but I'll probably beat the game before doing Ruby/Sapphire.

getting KOTR or beating ruby/emerald seemed insane. emerald (the underwater one?) absolutely annihilated me the one time i got curious

I already got KotR; breeding chocobos only took a few hours. I guess we'll see if I need to grind to beat the Weapons... I didn't for VIII's superboss, but I think VIII's systems are more easily breakable than VII's?

8 has level scaling so Omega is easier at low level

I've never beaten VII's superbosses, but Ultima and Omega in VIII are pretty easy to cheese if you don't care about beating them "legitimately."

I did both Emerald and Ruby way back in the day and had to do cheese methods for both.

hey, fair enough - i guess my motivation to get everything just plummeted after i'd beaten the game

i did beat viii's superbosses as well though, iirc! i don't think i broke the game or cheated or anything, to my knowledge.

It's up to you whether you consider Aura + Holy Wars cheating or not...!

Well, they're intended to be post-game because the actual last stretch of the game becomes a joke if you train for the superbosses first!

Recently I find my motivation to play games vanishes quickly after I beat the final boss most of the time so I try to do all the side content I'm interested in before that, though there are some exceptions.

i mean in ff7 and ff8 it feels like post game stuff doesn't make a lot of sense storywise, since you don't get a savepoint after the final boss. it's not like pokemon, which much more encourages me to do postgame stuff after the ending

I never really considered it part of the story in the first place! That's why I do it after the story. That's when I do the gameplay related tasks. Because also then you spend like 20 hours between final dungeon and final boss and that makes the story feel more weird!

Actually come to think of it I never went and beat Ozma in FF9. I should probably do that at some point!

I beat Ozma the hard way because I never finished the friendly monster quest!

TWEWY2 Week 2 complete!

Man, Shiba was already pretty lame, but he became even lamer with the reveal that he's the Ruinbringers' leader and that's why the Game is rigged. Oh well, now Shoka is on our team and five active characters makes fights even more chaotic, in a good way. I imagine the fact that Shoka reported to Shiba that Rindo can only time travel once per day will wind up being important in the resolution of this final week since that's not quite the case.

Also, was that Rhyme? That partial view looked an awful lot like her. Also I'd say it's weird that Beat doesn't remember Mr. Mew, but all things considered about him as a character, I can kinda believe it...!

It's like watching bonus episodes that you're supposed to watch after the series but take place before it ends.

good analogy - i don't really like those either, generally will only watch it they're like half an hour - a multi-hour sidequest is just a lot more time commitment and requires a lot more active engagement though!

None of the FFVII superbosses are that hard if you use the right strategy imo.

well i may be overthinking my justification, but it's just a fact that doing sidequests after a final boss (with no postgame savepoint) is less fun for me :P

the only fun worth having is justified fun

AoT Season 4.2 Episode 6:

Gabi's journey to the hero of this story complete, tbqh. She's realized her complicity and fault in perpetuating the cycle and raised some legit points to Armin about what Eren is doing and giving some credible alternatives! Also, Connie really just stole a kid and peaced out as Titans were turning on his friends and comrades, huh? lmao. Not appreciating Jean leaning towards "whatever it's the world's fault, not eren's" in this debate. Armin and Gabi are right in that this is way, way too much. Armin still not off the hook for the rest of this season yet though. Of course, the best development was the very end - EVERYONE IS HERE. oh ya go my annie. She automatically joins Hange and Levi as the "cool kids" who I hope get through this. Seriously though, getting her caught up to speed is gonna be something lol.

If memory serves, Frieza said he underestimated how long it would take for the planet to be destroyed.

Attack on Titan Season 4.5 Episode 6 complete!

We lost Pyxis, but we got Annie back, so I guess it balances out. I think there is potential for an Annie redemption arc because I don't think she was really on board with Marley's plans to begin with, if I'm remembering right. She only did it because of her father. Glad to see we're getting a Gabi redemption arc, although I'm not sure I like that its climax might come at Conny's expense!

I also don't think Jean is necessarily endorsing Eren's plan of action. I think he just understands why he's doing it because he realizes they were backed into a corner and Eren got desperate. Plus, Jean recognizes that Eren only cares about his friends and couldn't care less about what happens to the rest of the world.
