AoT 4.2 E5:

I don't think that's entirely true. Zeke/Eren's "It'll never end as long as one of us remains" thing may be true given the constraints the Will of the First King put them in but strikes me very much of "We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas!" The First King, in their guilt over how the power of Titans was used to oppress the outside world, made the unilateral decision to rob everyone on Paradis of their memories of the past and that there even *was* an outside world and explicitly waited for revenge to come and exterminate them. Getting the power of the Founder out of the hands of the Will of the First King allowed them to have other options though - for the first time Paradis could try diplomacy. Hell, Hange and the Survey Corp had succeeded in working out an alliance with that one nation that claims Mikasa is their lost Princess or something. A path to mutual coexistence was maybe possible. It'd be tough because of how screwed over they had been by the Will of the First King until nearly the last moment but it existed. Hell, they developed a game plan to re-enter the world stage.

I feel like the problem has always been the power of the Founder in particular is just too powerful a thing to be held by any one person because in the wrong hands it can just screw everything up. The First King decided all Eldians should die for the actions of their ancestors and basically set things up so it would happen. Zeke had no hope the situation could be resolved and just wanted the suffering of Eldians to end and thought a mercy killing would be best. And now Eren has taken the idea that it can't be resolved and gone the other extreme like you said and has decided to just kill everyone else. Even if someone more levelheaded like Hange got the power it'd just be a matter of time before someone else did because of the whole Curse of Ymir 13 year time limit. I feel like you'd ideally want it to reside in some random Eldian who didn't even know they had it so the temptation to use it, or for others to use them, wouldn't exist.

Eren's right about Ymir though, that's true.

Probably about 60% through Wheel of Time Book 9, and we finally got the Mat storyline rolling again! We finally meet the fabled Daughter of the Nine Moons. I half figured she would be a Seanchan since literally nobody Mat asked had ever heard of such a thing, and I feel like there was a passing reference to something about the Nine Moons relating to the Seanchan in one of the earlier books, but I could be mistaken.
