Someone else brought this to the board's attention, but it looks like the topic purged. The Shovel Knight developers are doing a new game called Mina the Hollower. I don't remember the way the original TC pitched it, but there's sort of a Link's Awakening crossed with Castlevania thing going. The Kickstarter drive is going to be successful barring some disaster, so the game itself will be developed. Current development goal is to release at the end of 2023. Not going to back it because it's an established dev and that game is going to sell plenty. At first I was questioning why they even needed a Kickstarter, but I imagine it probably creates a much more relaxed work environment where they can make the game exactly how they want it. It also doesn't burn a hole in the pockets of the consumer either, since you get a copy of the game for backing it. oh yeah speaking of shovel knight i played a demo of a game evidently inspired by it in next fest earlier. corsair's madness. gameplay-wise it's got a couple of issues but is otherwise surprisingly slick (and challenging) ... Copied to Clipboard!
