I mean food and dry goods you get from the grocery store combined.

I think mine is WAY too fucking high for 2 people, like $1200+.

Probably about $250. I try to eat something cheap for breakfast like hot dogs, then after work I just eat one meal, and some snacks if I get hungry after. Sometimes I have an energy drink but I've been trying to either get the ones on sale, have a V8 energy drink or have one of those caffeinated flavor packets you add to water.
That's not counting stuff I buy for the dogs but that's not usually a lot.

there's a badge of shame to have stamps (i get help from it). it helps in my food budget i spend about 200$ per month.
without it. i would be worse off :(.

using walmart compared to safeway for my lunch stuff saves some money. costco for my dinner and breakfast items.
though milk is 59 cents higher but i get it for convenience.

bought some teriyaki pineapple chicken meatballs. they said these were good. going to have to try it with rice and sweet bbq sauce.

shopping for just one here.

i go to the grocery once a week and my typical shopping list results in something like a $40-$60 bill per trip. however, some weeks it'll be higher if i need to buy something like dog food, or if a few of the bulk items i guy all need refilled in a single trip. just the other day my bill was just over $100 because i ran out of a bunch of stuff at once.

so for the month, i'd average it out to $250

edit: this includes anything i buy at the 'grocery store', which includes bathroom / hygiene products along with 'household' items like paper towels, TP, etc.

My wife does the shopping and spends about 650 a month. It's way too much. We don't really do take out other than one planned time a month and on special occasions. That's including items like garbage bags, toilet paper and plastic silverware I use for my lunches (I don't want to bring our actual silverware).

There really isn't. I had them in my early 20s when I qualified for them and I had no shame. The way I see it I was paying taxes that go towards these programs and if I qualify to receive them damn right I'm gonna sign up. I'd still have them right now if I was still eligible.

Family of 4, ranging from 13-45.

Its about 600-750 a month.

Im more of a bargain/sale shopper than my wife is. So $600 if I do the shopping, $750 if she does.

Family of 4, kids are now entering teens so they eat more than me (lol) - $1400 a month. We dont eat out, my husband eats keto and nuts and cheese add up, kids and I cant eat tomatoes, potatoes, or peppers (including pepper spices) so really no cheap processed foods. Meat and produce adds up.

About $600-$700 a month between me and my wife. We grow a lot of our own vegetables so that isn't something we buy much at all, same with eggs, we have 9 hens. We eat a lot of fish and seafood which adds up.

Doesn't include food for the animals.

I wonder if people posting low numbers, end up eating out a lot and aren't posting that number?
