Well, it's meant to be the game's remote dueling platform going forward with COVID and everything cancelling events. Every has to start from the ground up but hey. At least it beat travelling fees

There's a solo mode but I don't know to what depth it is. I heard it's based on scenarios and decks or something. I get home in an hour so I'll let ya know.

Not available on mobile yet.

Anyways this is great for me. I love using platforms like these to test decks before buying them in real life to use with my cousins. Did it with Link Evolution but they stopped updating cards

Fair enough.

Okay so.

I only spent $14 on gems which got me about 20 packs.

Along with all the freebies they gave (including 50 free legacy packs since I have ps plus), I was pretty much able to make like...80% of my ideal Ancient Warriors Tribrigade deck. I'm missing some things like Apolloussa, etc but holy crap.

And as for Solo mode, there are three scenarios so far where you undergo an amount of duels for each, as well as some practice duels using loaner decks. From what I've seen so far, each duel you beat gives you some kind of reward and completing solo duels also completes general missions which gives you a good amount of gems. Also, the rewards from the solo duels are pretty decent so far, with Raigeki and Monster reborn as early rewards.

Okay I cleared the first scenario and jumped into my first pvp duel. I OTKd him lmao. I felt kinda bad.

Downloading it now and came to CE and this topic got bumped. Nice.

I'll try for a dragon maid deck like in link evolution. Such a nice archetype and the engine is reliable enough.

For sure. Definitely make use of the dismantling/crafting mechanics. If you need help on how to get those cards, I'll elaborate.

Here's what I got. I actually pulled almost everything from about 3 boxes of BODE and a dozen loose walmart packs. I just had to buy the Ecclesias which sucked.

Oh I know what's the meta. I just don't really aim for top tier decks, at least for the moment. I'm super familiar with my Ancient Warriors Tribrigade so I'm running that. Apparently Drytrons are pretty budget in this game but eh

Also if I had one thing to complain about so far, it's how laggy the main menu is. Every time you enter/exit it, there's a 1-2 second delay of it "Connecting" and it adds up quick and can get annoying.

Bought all the starter gem packs to get 3 of every madooche card since they're more viable than dragonmaid. Need at least one nebeiru now. ;_;

I saw two streams today: Paleo Frogs and Worms (lol). Not sure if I'll get this yet, but it is free, so can't hurt.

I've just been playing Blue Eyes Chaos Max turbo. Half the players quit when they realize they can't destroy it with card effects. Casually playing decks I like is enough to have a good time so getting this much for free is pretty great honestly.

If anything, download it and experience the ecstasy (or despair) of opening packs with the free gems given at the start lol

Also, highly recommended to buy the golden battle pass with the free gems they give you

It's such an easy otk or 2tk. Easy to counter with hand traps to stop the rituals but casual players don't even know what that means.

Syncros are usually, have a tuner and other monsters add up to a certain rank and fuse. Later ones might require archetypes or a specific tuner or both but have support to get them to work.

Xyz is that but you stack two of the same rank (two 4 star monsters for instance) and the materials can be removed for effects. Usually once per turn though.

Pendulum is a nightmare for me still but basically, field rush with different rank pendulums.

Link is xyz but it can be any monsters. Only downside is no defense mode for them. But they get arrows that can trigger effects if monsters are in those spots. There's not many recursive combos surprisingly enough.

Obviously its very rare but when you hit a 0 defense monster for an instant win its a treat.

In link evolution I used some cards to forcibly get one on the opponents side of the field. Used some lamp thing as part of the set up? 0 defense monster.

I got hit with Maxx C's in two different duels today. Makes me wanna craft 3 to use for myself lol. Interesting banlist they're using to say the least, and it'll be interesting going forward when they implement the different formats/banlists.

I had an intense duel with a Shagdoll deck. Won it with the Harpie deck I built, because I got lucky and ran into a Harpie secret booster and knew how to build a Harpie deck.

Yep! You can either luck into a theme's secret booster or craft an SR or UR of that theme (check to see what pack it's obtainable from) and it'll force that secret pack to come out. Really cool mechanic for the game.

Lmao nice! I'm actually trying to aim for a Blue Eyes Rank 8 deck as I'm aiming to buy one for IRL but so many of the cards needed are higher rarity @__@

I still havent finished my VW deck >_>. Im missing a ton of cards and dont really know what to replace them with for now.

Considering going for decks that seem fun to me like sacred beasts or harpies with the secret packs. The problem is I really feel the need to wait and see how bad the gem drop off will be once all the launch bonuses are cleared.

Like most gacha style games it'll probably be limited to daily log in and the very very small amount for daily challenges or whatever. "Win one ranked duel" stuff and so on.

Well I won one match with my halfbaked VW deck. Really gotta learn how to play it properly, or Ill get destroyed as I go higher in Ranked.

I love yugioh but I'm so bad at it lol

Having decklists be searchable is nice but I hope they add some better filters. A lot of them are clearly people learning how to play having random amounts of cards over 40.

Haha it's just tons of practice honestly. And a game like this is great especially if you have friends to play test not so tryhard decks with. I want to eventually make a penguin deck to fuck around with but I think it's missing cards because the game is missing 1-2 sets or so

Also the fun thing right now is that even if you run into a lot of tryhards in ranked right now, you're bound to run into players just coming back into the game after ten years or coming from duel links who aren't as sweaty
