Considering my best team drains 1/6 of its hp and the following teams a similar amount, not having enough special units isn't the problem either.

I wonder why they changed the title over here?

With "White Night Aurora" that at least makes some thematic sense given what the game is about, whereas I don't know what "Alchemy Stars" refers to unless there's some plot element later that involves alchemy.

Unless... is that the process they use to make Aurorians into Eclipsites? Oh gods, it's "gold white or blue black" all over again.

Takes more and deals less by 2% per level difference compared to recommended level.

e: so basically my students are all dealing 30% less and taking 30% more (15 level difference) even in Chapter/Area stages and because it is so easy, it is unnoticeable.

A few hours left for those that want to push in Princess Arena in priconnect before the reshuffle. A good time if you are in a decent bracket, as many are putting in weak defence to let everyone get to 1st.

Took me a loooot of refreshes to do it, due to the 100-500 range having few with weak defences, but easily made it up and several 1000 gems more.

My bracket seems to be far from decent. I'm currently at like 900th (and the highest I've ever gotten to is around 500th) and I haven't seen a single "put a weak defense team to help other people" team after a hundred refreshes, so I'm just not gonna bother wasting time on it. I'll rush as high as I can in my new bracket immediately after the maintenance/reshuffle ends (when I did that with the normal Battle Arena I managed to peak at like 60th) but that's about all I care enough to do.

Yeah, mine wasn't much better but did at least find a few who did it - and even then I think I must have refreshed with gems well over a dozen times to do it all.

And then all had comps that using pcrdfans.com said I'd need units I hadn't built up yet. So that just reminded why I hate princess arena and normally never do more than the one a day attempt and forget about it.

Well lul I'm sure somebody whaled for her so she's probably worth a bit more than a few potentially dead NPCs I guess. If you're talking Gronru, she's also probably a bit more valuable alive, considering she makes stuff like the battle simulation on the Colossus. She's also a cute and I'd probably be guilty of similar decisions

With constant refreshes, I managed to make it to 28th rank in Princess Arena before I hit the wall and ran out of opponents I could beat, which is good enough for me. I also decided to pull for Muimi. I had to go all the way to 300 and spark her, but between the free pulls given out over the past two weeks and the gems I just got from rushing the PA, in reality I only spent like 80 pulls worth of gems to get her.

I should have said this earlier in the day, but Azur Lane players remember to set your waifu in the first secretary slot before tomorrow (14th) morning.

Is Muimi worth using divine amulets on right away to rush her to 5 stars? I only see two other characters on the horizon that I really want (and they're both in the permanent gacha so their shards will likely be farmable at some point too) so it's not like I'll have much else to use my 2400 amulets on.

Yes. The Gear recommendation guide I use has star recommendations as well, and she's listed at 5 stars (guide is at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18VjvDwBrTinuWtqbxUxo0BNOvFpmztFO2p2D03tUxdA/edit#gid=1484130985).

Assuming you're focused on CB, DPS units benefit from being higher ascension. It's usually only support units like NY!Yui or V!Shizuru that are finicky enough that being a lower ascension is better due to TP gain from damage taken.

Arena focus generally wants everyone as high as possible AFAIK.

Of course, pushed out of Binah platinum by like 80 players. Oh well, at least the loss is small.

Artifact bottlenecking is getting worse.
I'm stuck at 5/10 Hoshino EX2-->EX3 artifacts for like a week now and I really need that stun for PvP.
Doesn't look good on other types either, can't raise Izuna to lv7 passive & sub, will likely not have enough to even raise S.Azusa to 3/4/4/4.

I heard the Summer event will let me grind artifacts, so hopefully that will be enough to prepare Hoshino and my blue team.

I had to give up Tales of Grimm. It required way too much time, and the characters didnt really draw me in aside from one or two of them. Also it took a shitload of copies to level them up :<

Yeah, I'm talking about the conclusion of 5-13 with Gronru. This particular trope annoys me in general, but it really burns here for a few reasons.

1. Up until now the game's story had been pretty decent, which is good considering I didn't even originally start playing Alchemy Stars for its own sake, rather a collab brought me here. So this was a pretty big nosedive.

2. Despite absolutely dunking on Schummer during the actual boss fight (*3 first try, with a full Water team no less), plot and gameplay segregation apparently means we didn't *actually* beat her (even with the element of surprise and her having no Eclipsite backup) and she beat *us* effortlessly. So the game pretty much *forces* you into a now bigger hostage situation.

3. Our PC, Vice, and Carleen had a conversation on the Colossus where they admit that Schummer can't be trusted to keep her end of the bargain. So what was their "plan B" if their sneak attack failed? Why, bring the module with us and TRUST THAT SCHUMMER WOULD KEEP HER END OF THE BARGAIN, only now *all* of us are at her mercy instead of just Gronru.

4. I can only assume the module makes Celestites stupid once they grab it because after you hand it over, and for no logical reason at all, Schummer lets you all leave alive.

5. While I didn't expect our PC running up and punching Schummer and giving a big dumb hero speech to have any actual effect, it was kind of funny watching Schummer be like "WTF, did you really think that would work or something? What do you think you are? The protagonist?" Which would also suggest she didn't spare you because she was impressed, when in reality you just proved that you're too stupid to live.

6. Given our track record so far, I'm betting we lose the last module to her as well for some dumb reason, so I'm not exactly enthusiastic about heading into the next chapter, and how bad things are going to get when Schummer inevitably gets her "CMD" fully functional (and that we helped to enable it).

7. Finally, these jerk developers seriously made Gronru message you later to *apologize* like it's somehow her fault at everything that just happened even though it was the other three doofuses because apparently "protect everyone" is secret code for "dumbfuckery WHOO".

"The Correct Decision" my ass, this was narratively painting themselves into a corner and then railroading themselves out of it. And we literally have a dude who can summon a magical flying train to escape a self-destructing underground city, and yet that's somehow less egregious than what just happened here.

Meanwhile I picked up World Flipper again. I'm kinda miffed that they literally didn't even finish the furthest ch you can get to during the time I didn't play the game. The game has years of content not yet localized, so it's a bit of a shame.

But the main reason obvs is to partake in the 170 summons they're giving away throughout the days. Sadly there's no rollback so if you missed a few days, you missed those summons. But the banner for the first 3 days sucked so no big if you start today.

And lo and behold, I pull the best unit there, which is a seasonal version of Nephtim, a unit I was struggling to make good on her base form. So... yeah I'm just gonna assume it's fate and go with this. I'm copying a meta team this time. No more pussyfooting with some random team that doesn't end up working out.

I also pulled Luna from Shadowverse. I've been absorbed in SV for some months a bit back, so this makes me quite happy. Seems if I end up pulling another SV character Olivia, I'll be able to make a meta Dark team as well

Had to spark Muimi and only got about three 3*s when it was all said and done. R.I.P.

The main game story gets really good in the last half where the Schummer arc ends imo. The latest ch was kinda emotional and made some nice parallels to how the story began and how far they came. All the side stories are really good too imo. Side stories are better than the main story though but they are interconnected

Well, it wouldn't have been so bad if they just played to the Navigator's strengths, or at least what's implied from all their interactions on the Colossus with other characters. Maybe it's just me, but you get alot of silly yet clever moments.

Like, keep the part where you try to monologue and deck Schummer, but instead she completely dodges it and when she turns around to mock you, you've already grabbed Gronru and bolted faster than thought possible, and when she snides you for leaving Vice and Carleen behind ...she realizes they too have already fled in a similarly inhuman and comedic fashion in the opposite direction. And before she even thinks to pursue? She notices you dropped the module, whether on purpose to distract her, or by accident because you're an idiot, who can say? Either way she has no time to chase after "cowards" when she got what she wanted. The end result is the same, but it's far less frustrating how it plays out.

And yeah, Schummer would go after the modules no matter where they were hidden, but the stories surrounding Mendelson, Shire, and Shelt in previous chapters felt better written than what happened this time. I mean, those were some heartbreaking moments (the hopeful, after-chapter message from Mendelson in particular hurts), but then this chapter just falls flat.

Even the following skit on the bridge with Gronru (complete with mock 16-bit screens) only seemed to highlight that they could have taken a different, if softer conclusion if they really wanted to, but so far the main plot wants to keep a certain tone even if they have to hamfist it in there at times.

Nothing bad with it happened, just not really sure what I actually like about it as don't care for the story or vast majority of characters and not a fan of the combat so sorta feel I'm in "sunk cost fallacy" mode thinking. Who knows, we'll see how I feel over the next few days.

Same with a few other of the gachas I have, but most of them are side games I play for like 10 min a day, if at all, so they are w/e.
