Trying to make me field level 50+ units with adequate weapon and terrain typing is bad enough, but making me deal with bullshit map mechanics is downright awful. Guess the honeymoon is finally over, and now I enter the "how long can I tolerate frustration for waifus" phase of the relationship going forward. As for the newly attempted Alchemy Stars, it feels like it gets less and less fun the further I go because every map is turning into an increasingly longer slog all while making me have to dance around some new mechanic. (Gathering Intel and dodging those cannons can especially fuck off forever.) Doesn't help that auto-battle is disabled until after I finish a map, as if I'd ever want to step back into any of them that aren't Resource Raid. The story/characters etc are fantastic and it blows most others out of the water with ease. Good voice acting, story is easy to understand, characters are actually characters for the vast majority and has an intriguing story/plot. Personally I'd put it up with Destiny Child, and better, story wise. Both way above Arknights story which falters mostly because of how poorly they tell it typically (as arknights lore is way better than those two otherwise imo) - I don't play other story heavy gacha's, so can't compare to them. The gameplay isn't too bad, as each character plays differently so you can find one you like and stick with them for the raid/extra content. However, it is an equipment gacha so you are just rolling for whatever new weapon/armour comes out and typically have different banners for each character save for special occasions. Does mean you have access to every character from the start though at least. New stories are released each week for the characters which are fun, but don't take too long to do. The actual content outside of that so far consists of one boss to grind up (and I do mean a fucking grind) to get a ticket to upgrade the top tier gear you pull for but you can honestly skip it entirely and I typically do. It had a rough start, but it's doing much better now and if you keep it as a side game then it's fine.
