To be clear, I actually don't have an Xbox series X anymore because I mostly play those games on PC, but I've heard this has all the same features on PC

Ok gonna buy it. I just read on the back that it's rechargeable and apparently has good battery life. That's nice!

I haven't noticed any real difference between the two. Face buttons just as flimsy and unresponsive as the one I got out of the box with my SX. Battery life is a lot better I guess.

I'm buying another one also, this is the longest a controller has lasted with no issues to. Over 2 years old and it still functions properly.

Just got it, apparently it was accidentally labeled as clearance. They meant to label a series 1 controller, but they labeled this one instead and they honored it

I would snap it up with a warranty

Wait you got the series 1 controller? I'd avoid that one unless you meant the v2 which is the newest model.

Holy shit I'd buy several

worth it for the back paddles / grip buttons alone. steam controller changed the game with those and it's hard to play certain games w/o them.

no idea which one came first. but either way, back buttons are fucking awesome. lets you keep your thumbs on the sticks while having access to 8 buttons (1,2,3,G for L and R).

I kept the same two controllers that came with my Xbox 360 for the entire time I used the console.

The elite controller is miles ahead better. Long lasting battery, rechargeable, and comes with a charging cable/w case. Replaceable buttons, added paddles, dpad can be changed. Weight to it

Yea the battery life is great mines last me for 2 weeks before it needs a recharge, my dual sense last me a day

I miss the back buttons and I think I may mod my dualsense soon. Scuf controller cost like over $200, which seems ridiculous to me.

First much as I typically like playstation, I really don't like their controllers. And the analog sticks go dull quickly, and my last DualSense actually developed drift

Are you talking about the texture of the sticks going dull or the input? I luckily haven't experienced drift yet on any first party controllers, even the joy cons (though I hardly use those).

Yeah just the coating. Although the drift thing was just like Switch Joy Cons.

I actually bought a Switch Split Pad Pro specifically so I wouldn't have to use Joy Cons ever again.

I use thumb grips on the dual shock and dual sense controllers. It protects the sticks and I like the texture and feel better anyway.

Current ones i'm using are pretty cheap ($7 for 3 pair).

Be prepared for an elite 3 with the 3D rumble like the joy cons, and adaptive triggers like the PS5 controller

yeah

they use inferior quality switches on their PCBs. Drop it on the right angle from 2 feet and it will quit working properly
