Great spin on a murder mystery game, full of personality and very replayable. But it is very short and I had hoped for some kind of true ending or things to come together in a way they didn't. That's on me though, and I still had a fun time. Would be perfect for Game Pass.

Metroid: Zero Mission

(Was tempted to put this under robot lead lol)
Finally got to play this! It is of course great, not quite as good as Super but a very well put together game. It's so much more playable than the NES version, I wish Ninty would make it accessible. Love the extra stuff they added at the end, and the music is cool too. Solid all around!

I tend to get tired of these sandbox style games ~15 hours in, but despite having most of the trappings of the genre that burn me out, I never got tired of this even after about three times that. Not sure if I'll 100% it, or do the DLC (I have a lot of games I want to play as it is,) but I don't think I'll get tired of it even if I do.

Really liked this game! Liked pretty much everything about it, I could've happily stayed in that world for another dozen hours. I hope they do a sequel or something but this is already a wonderful package.

Wasn't sure what I'd think of this but it was fun and I connected emotionally to the earlier levels more than I expected to (not as much the later ones). Best bit was trying to figure out what the video games were from the box art lol.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath

kinda more of the same, but some great (if overlong) cinematics. The added characters are mostly solid but the ridiculously overcomplicated processes for unlockables and customization from the base game are still there, and they honestly feel more like a burden than a bonus. I really haven't been loving the move toward this style that the Netherrealm fighters have been taken lately. Alternate costumes and movesets are cool but having to go through nearly endless effort to unlock them and having to assign everything piece by piece is just way too time-consuming and boring to get much out of it.

best Life is Strange since the original. Excellent story, great use of powers, great characters. In addition, each episode feels distinct, which is something episodic games often struggle with.

Yakuza 6: The Song Of Life. Thus ends the Kazuma Kiryu saga. This one was weird in that I just couldn't get used to the 30 FPS framerate even though I had no trouble adapting to it in Yakuza Kiwami 2. One of my least favorite in the series, but I still enjoyed it. Here's my ranking for all the games (not including Like A Dragon since it takes a different path):

0 > Kiwami 2 > Kiwami 1 > 4 > 5 > 6 > 3

All of them good with their own merits (3 for example has some of the better villains)

Fire Emblem: Three Houses. A year and a half in the making, but finally completed all four routes! This was my first Fire Emblem game and it did not disappoint.
